Wasted

I am tired...well not really my mind but my body. My body is wasted, not in the alcoholic sense but like I have been drained of all energy and ability, sweet deal. I had a bazillion and one practices today which could explain the drain. Took a Geography test today four pages took me about five minutes. That just makes me hate that I got up to take it come on people how about a little challenge every now and again. Wait I take that back I love being the most underachieving overachiever, it truly is a gift. Not trying and still getting good grades, nice. So after my "class" I hung out with Chelsea for awhile then went to lunch with Ashley and Daryl. Good times. I then had an hour of basketball individuals with Ashley and Coach Wilson. My second class of the day, art, lasted just as long as the first one. I just got a new project to do this one stippled in ink, fun times. Well right after that adventure I went to the trainer. My shoulder was killing me today I could hardly lift it, happens in old age. Trainer Joe went to town on it and it hurt real bad but when he was done it was a bit better. I once again was the freak of the training room everyone likes to watch my twitching muscles for some reason. Softball practice was strictly hitting today I was in charge of running the pitching machine, awesome. Two hours of shagging balls so much fun...not. Right after that I went to basketball practice. Fifteen straight minutes of running, good times, everyone else is really slow, as of now at least, this I have determined. Then we scrimmaged and I played with Ryan for a while. I got a three hundred dollar refund check from my tution of which I payed nill this year, pectacular, I like free money. My spent body needs rest tomorrows another full day.

Yahtzee!

It's cold outside. Who knew that in the middle of September you'd need a coat and pants to go outside...crazy I tell ya. Tuesday lead to another fun filled day of class and learning, can't get enough learning. My Psych class actually wasn't too boring we had some interesting class discussion. We also had to watch the up close and personal birth of a baby, yummy. The lady was like petting the kids head as he was crowning, that part was a bit gross. After class it was off to visit my dear friend trainer Joe, I make new friends in there everyday. What can I say I am a regular, Coach refers to it as my second home. Practice was low key we did a lot of nothing and I was pretty much bored. When we got done I went and watched some of the boys baseball game, baseball games are too long to view in their entirety. Michelle, Nick, and Sue came out so I got to sit and talk to them for a while. Nick has gotten so big, walking and talking, I can't believe he's already 14 months old. Ran to dinner when I was done talking to them and it was scrumtrulescent. Turkey and the fixings mm mm good. At dinners conclusion I attend a match of the volleyball game. What can I say I support the campus activities. Tonight I was a little hyper. Played some Nintendo with the twins and Yahtzee with Kaylee, Kristi, and Carla. We got in trouble for being too loud, I am sorry but Yahtzee is a contact sport and we play for blood. Capped the night with a lovely trip to Walmart with Ashley nothing like some late night Walmart, I love to watch the creepies that come out.

Keeper of the Children

It has been a good day today. I didn't have weights or anything so I got to sleep in until 10ish that was sweet. My class of the day went okay boring but I got it done. After that I had a lunch date with Coach Thomas, never a dull moment with him. I was supposed to meet my art teacher at 1 to turn in my project and get a new one. He never showed up this is like the fourth time this has happend, I left him a note and left. I got a letter in my mailbox today (I heart mail) from the leaders of Phi Theta Kappa. I was inducted into the academic sorority, which will look good on transcripts and provide me with scholarship money when I go to 4-year college. Pretty sweet deal. Then I went on a lovely six mile bike ride out thru Kickapoo park, ahh beautiful nature. I had to hurry back in time to go pick up Ryan from school, Coach Thomas had asked me to since Bridgett and he were busy, I am the keeper of the children. I went and got him took him back to his Mom's office and ended up taking him into town to a couple shops downtown so he could use some giftcards he had. We went toy shopping and he bought some Lincoln Logs and Cardinals Uno. He was soo excited that I came to pick him up he was making me laugh. After our shopping adventure we came back to my room and played with his toys and had a Sega battle, I won, I always do:) I took him back to his parents at five then grabbed a quick dinner before I headed home to pick up and drop off some stuff for Mom. I stayed and watched Brent's game they won by a touchdown and it was cold and rainy...booo. I came back here and got my Nintendo on, I am glad I work so hard at school.

Chicken is Good

The games went well today we won them both. It was hot and they seemed to take forever but whatever. The Finchum kid whose in love with me showed up...early...and was hardcore cheering for me the whole game. The kid is so weird. Random information: some kids went out and destroyed the right side of baseball fence. They busted off and broke the boards and there is now a gaping whole in the wall. They are 99& sure it was the swimmers. Who does that honestly? When does that enter someones mind? It really makes me mad, kids here are so stupid sometimes. I thing it makes me even angrier though because it was Tony's field and I don't like it when other people mess with him or his stuff. We had Percella's baby shower tonight. It went really well and was a lot of fun just hanging out playing games and talking. We had it at Coach Wilson's house her husband cooked us an awesome meal, some kind of Hawiaan chicken mmm mmm. We had quite the spread though fruit pizza, jello cake, chips and dip, pretty much all things yummy and I quite enjoyed myself. Then I came back here and had a homework party with Ash and Chels while Ash was on duty. I finished my drawing project in a little less than an hour, I was proud of myself for waiting until the last minute. So I was really excited today because I got a lot of family pictures from Labor day and this weekend. I am such a dork.

Dancing Queen

My games today went alright. I have been transported to first base, I kinda enjoy this but will need a little time to readjust. I like it on the infield, less boring more action. I had two of our three RBI's the first game which we won. The second game we won 20-3 it was crazy boring and long after the second inning. It was soo hot out there and there was absolutely no shade. At one point I was sweating so much into my eyes that I couldn't see...it was pleasant. Mom and Grandma came to watch which was nice, especially when Mom went and bought me some delicious snacks and drinks, Thanks Mom:) After the game we hit up Monicals, mmm Monicals, it is one of the greatest resturants ever. I ate too much and I don't even care it was totally worth it. Came back here and showered acres of scum off myself felt nice. Then a few of the softball freshman came over. They crack me up and I had a lot of fun hanging out with them. We had a dance party and you all know I have some awesome moves, haha. I busted out the dancing queen dance a good five times today just for you Amy. When they left Casie and Ashley came over to chill. It was a nice night but I am tired and need some sleep. By the way I got my new school address a while ago but forgot to send it out, I don't know if Mom did either, if anyone wants it let me know!

LoVeD

I love my family, I know that sounds a little well duh, but I do I really love my family. It was so great getting to see everyone tonight and hang out. Nothing beats the hugs and hello's of the people you care about the most. The new field looks really good and the whole night was just really nice. Grandma gave a good dedication speech and it just felt good to be sitting in the stands with all my family around me hearing it. I know I never met my Grandpa but somehow I can't help thinking he would be proud of us. Actually I frequently think of that. I just hear so many great stories about him I sometimes wonder what our relationship wouldv'e been like, he sounds like such a good man I would have loved to have met him. I guess that's just another one of those things that wasn't in God's plan. I find it kind of funny that this all took place at a football game but I don't think I ever really watched any of the game, I was too busy with everyone around me. Both of my babies were there so that was awesome I love those two and nothing can melt your heart like one of their smiles. After the game I went to a little bar downtown and hung out with some of the family. It was really a lot of fun just sitting around and talking. Sometimes we take for granted that our biggest support system is the people who know us the best yet still love us. Really I thrive on nights like this they just lift yo0ur spirits for awhile no matter what you're going through. As Grandma said, sarcastically, tonight when I was telling her about Uncle Kip worrying about me..."It's tough being loved isn't it."

Me Tired

I am really tired, this will be short. It has stormed here all day long. Classes drug on I missed my least favorite today thanks to an early bus time. We played our games, it was pretty dry in Springfield until we got there we brought the rain. Still we got all 14 innings in and ended up splitting. I played left the first game and first the second, I haven't been there since Jr. year it was awkward but I did fine. Latey I have been hitting what Coach refers to as "atem" balls meaning I always hit balls at them. It sucks but I'm making good contact and getting good cuts. Came back here and watched Aladdin with Ashley it was swell. I am looking forward to tomorrow and am really worn out so that is all.

Heart Breaker:)

Ahh so today, it's been interesting. I got up for weights at 8 then didn't have class until 10 so much for sleeping in. After lifting I went and talked to Stoltzy for awhile, he refers to me as his BFF and well he's funny. I still had an hour until class and Coach Thomas called so Ashley and I went and sat in his weights class and talked to him. I swear sometimes if I didn't love that guy I would have a hard time liking him. He is eating up the fact that the creepy Finchum kid is after me so he doesn't miss a moment to give me a hard time about it. He tries to auction off my phone number during baseball practice. I talked to the kid today and told him it wasn't gonna happen and not to believe whatever lines Tony was feeding him. The boy is just weird, but I still tried to be nice about it. My class of the day went fine I got an A on my test which was nice. Spent a solid hour and a half in the lunchroom today just hanging out sometimes that is the only time I see my friends all day so it's nice. I got my first drawing assignment today as well so that is pretty exciting I am ready to get started. As usuall I visited trainer Joe he throughly enjoys my visits I am his daily entertainment. Coach Thomas invited himself down today as well, he cracks me up when he tries to be all nice to me cause he knows he's been a jerk all day. Practice was easy today just hitting and I actually used the extra time to do homework. I even went to the LIBRARY...I know shocking first time so far may be the last. The evening has been spent just hanging out and doing nothing and it's been nice. I am a little upset though Matty emailed me today to tell me he is playing ball here tomorrow night and is pitching. We have a game at Lincoln Land and I won't even be here. It never fails when he pitches I play and when I'm free he isn't pitching. Oh well I told my friends to go cheer for the other team. Here's to hoping we make it to Springfield and back without a breakdown:)

Creepy Boy's Back

I just realized it has been Tuesday all day...crazy. Nothing exciting happened in class today I was bored out of my mind as usuall, but once again I dragged through. So random information, the same weird boy that was after me last year is once again trying to convince me to go out with him. He is the baseball manager and Coach Thomas is not helping at all he keeps egging it on and telling him to go after me he thinks it's funny. I don't really. I am trying to think of a non-jerkish way to let him know it will never happen. Although he is strange and I would never date him he is still a nice guy and I don't want to hurt him, still with Coach Thomas leading him on it hasn't been to easy. Practice tonight was pretty easy he just did leadoff's, baserunning, and basic fielding. I then accompanied the pitchers and catchers on a six mile bike ride out to Kickapoo park. I have throughly missed my bicycle and it was lovely. I think we are going again tomorrow. Dinner was Jimmy John's my first time since being back, mmmm mmm it was so good. I was going to do homework tonight, I got none of it done, oh well I have to go help with study tables tomorrow maybe I will do it then....maybe not. We got Percella's baby shower gift all done and put together so that will be ready for the weekend. Then I went to visit one of my friends on duty in another dorm. I sat around and talked to Daryl for the second night in a row and every time we get told to be quite, oops. Then Ashley and I went on a delightful evening stroll and all was well.

Family Time

So almost everyone who reads this already knows what happened yesterday since I saw them but I will tell my stories anyways. We lost both our games on Saturday, played okay but saw some definate areas that need improvement. The ride down went quickly the ride back was a different story the bus broke down, we think because the driver put unleaded gas into a deisel tank...nice. Well I hitched a ride with one of our freshman's parents and got back three hours before the rest of the team returned to campus at 7:30 we should have been home prior to 3:30. Well since I found my way home I had enough time to go to the Browns and see my family. I was really looking forward to this and luckily most of the family was still there when I got there, even my babies:) I loved getting to see them, I hate that we all live so close yet hardly see each other, get togethers are my favorites. Kip left before I got there so this made me sad but I am looking forward to Friday night. They are rededicating the new football field in honor of Grandpa so I will get to see everyone again, even Uncle Vince this time so I am definately excited. I ended up staying home last night, I was tired by the time we got home and there was no way I could've driven back to school. This morning we ran to Bloomington for breakfast at IHOP it was delightful. Then we went and bought me some new, cheap, shoes, yeah Pumas! This afternoon was spent cleaning, doing tons of laundry, and finishing homework. Then I had to bring the van, which I drove so I could bring my bike to school, home. I watched Brent's game they won 50-0, he threw 2 touchdowns, ran in 2, and caught an interception so I guess I picked a good game to watch. The rest of the night was spent hanging out with my friends and all was well.

Fall Kickoff

Wow is I thought waking up at 7:15 this morning was fun I can't wait until 6:00 tomorrow morning. I got to the bus only to find Coach Thomas chilling in the parking lot and I am never off limits for being picked on even early in the morning. He decided I wear #2 since it was his number and that way I can think about him all the time, I think he's weird but I love him anyways. The games today went okay. We should be pretty decent this year especially once spring rolls around. We have lots of talent right now it's just finding out where to put it. We split our games and only had one really bad inning and that was the first inning and it was just pitching which is encouraging. We got back here and ate some dinner. Then I ran to Wal-Mart with a few of our freshman, I needed to buy some Gatorade (Thanks Parents!). After that we have pretty much just hung out all night. We had a dance party, played hobo golf, and chilaxed in the lobby with a little would you rather. It was funny. Not counting about six other people we are the only ones here...campus is hopping. Edwardsville is far away I need sleepsky.

You Kept What?

I had weights this morning I hate getting up for half an hour of weights at 8 and then not having class until 10 but I do it anyways. We got to set the example apparently. Spent the whole morning in Coach Thomas office learning lots of important things as usuall and doing a lot of laughing. We found a stupid note I wrote him last year and taped a fake leaf to hung up in his office. It was kinda funny he keeps every stupid thing we give him from dumb notes to paper birds. Geography class today was short, I really like Mr. Grunder but the class just isn't very interesting right now. We took a quiz I was done before most people even started taking it, I thought it was pretty easy. The afternoon was spent in Coach Wilsons office doing all sorts of intelligent things with Chelsea. When I came back to my room Ashley came over and shortly fell asleep in the middle of my floor for three hours without realizing it. After dinner I went to Tremont to see Aunt Kathy and Kyleigh. She was cracking me up kicking her legs around and making all sorts of noises. She has gotten so big so fast, it was nice to spend some time playing with her. I stopped by Grandma's on the way back to school she wasn't there but I stole one of her sacred snickers ice cream bars and man was it good. I came back here and went with some of our softball freshman to a showing of "Blades of Glory" on campus. The movie was funny and we are glad to see them doing things like that instead of drinking the night before a game. We play in Champaign tomorrow and the bus leaves at 7:45 that's early, I hope it's nice out.

Sleepy Time

I am kinda tired right now it has been a long day. I had weights this morning at 8:15 which followed by breakfast ran right into class until two. Then I went straight to the trainer, two hours of softball practice, and followed it up with one and a half hours of basketball practice. We had a meeting with our freshman basketball players just to set out a vague set or rules and expectations on and off the court. It was supposed to be from all the sophomores I did all the talking. I wonder if we got through to them. A quick dinner and then back to my room for the first time all day at 7:15, I took a shower did a little homework and unknowingly fell asleep for a little while and it was glorious. After I woke up the twins got back from night class and came over for awhile. Then I went and hung out wit Ashley and her friend Nick. Talked to Coach Thomas on the phone about stupid stuff and then went on a world wide excursion otherwise known as a walk. We were watching Independance Day and no one could believe I have never seen it...still haven't I only watched about half an hour. I did watch Die Hard: With A Vegance though today and it was awesome. Okay so I have weights again tomorrow and to me 8:00 is early.

Football is Funny

In case anyone was wondering the Mars thing did happen we just missed it. I only had geography class today, this bores me for some reason maybe because what we are learning right now is pretty self explanatory. I finally got my independant study art class set up which is exciting I can't wait to start. I got some drawing materials today and am itching to try them out. We also got started on our honors program project which is a community service/involvement project. This should be a lot of fun once it gets underway. The day was spent hanging in both Coaches offices which is always a good time. Then I had to help supervise basketball study tables, this was interesting. Practice was hot. By the end of batting practice I was swinging blind because there was too much sweat swimming into my eyes and it was burning. I got all my wonderful therapy again today that was delightful. After practice Ash, Chels, and I went to watch Ryan play football. His team did pretty bad I don't think they ever passed the fifty and they gave up at least five touchdowns. It's funny to watch Ryan play he is so little and I'm pretty sure he doesn't like getting hit he avoids it at all costs. I have kept my promise now and watched a football game so I am good to go. After the game we went to Rusty's for cheese fries which were amazing. Then we just chilled on the swing in Chels yard enjoying the lovely night. Tomorrow is nonstop and I need sleep.

Whoo Hoo Trainer Joe

I am a bit tight today, but not excessively sore. Classes were alright, I was tired today. My psychology class drives me crazy. I am sure it would be interesting if my teacher knew anything on the subject, but she doesn't and it is annoying. That is a long hour and a half. Spent some time hanging out with Coach Thomas today. He loves to tell us his life story and honestly it cracks me up, he's a funny guy. Practice was fine today it's just really hot out and it sucks all the sweat out of me. I met our new trainer, Joe, today and he is pretty much awesome. He was the trainer at Oly my sophomore year. He worked with me for 45 minutes, doing shoulder ultrasound, teaching me stretches and excercises, doing a point-therapy massage, and loosening me up. He told me he will be able to give me the same therapy I would get from the Sports Enhancement but for free, I like that amount. Hopefully by the time spring rolls around I will be good to go. Tonight has been kinda random. I went to the volleyball game with some kids for awhile it was boring. Then I came back here and chilled. Chelsea, Ashley and I played this dumb game all night. I don't really know how to explain it, it was like hide and seek, but not really. In the end Chelsea and I got in a fight with Ashley, quit looking for her and came back here and chilled. I sat in the lobby for a while with Cassie and Nicole, but now it is off to sleep.

Mars Hoax?

It's one in the morning. I am up because my science teacher and a bunch of other teachers told us that we could see Mars really big tonight at midnight. We were told this wouldn't happen for another 300 years and to go see it. There were tons of kids sitting out waiting to see it. None of us saw anything. Was this a hoax? I don't know, some of us saw things saying it would happen on the news and in the papers but nothing in the sky. Anybody know anything on it? By the way I made it through running, weights, class, and softball practice today. It was a little wearing and I know I'll be sore tomorrow but I am still alive:)

Run Forrest Run

It is too late for me to be up. I have to run for basketball (20 minutes straight) tomorrow morning at 7. My body does not function too well that early. The day was pretty uneventful. Redecorated m room with my new posters and some pictures. Ran some errands to Wal-mart and Dollar Tree with Ashley and Chelsea. Did my homework. Then Casie, Nikkie, Chels, and I just got back from a homework date with Ashley while she is on RA duty. We drank a box of Capri Suns tonight and are now saving the wrappers to see how much of my walls we can cover throughout the year. I know we are awesome. Softball starts tomorrow, whaaa hooo. Seriously though I need to catch some Z's.

Gimme Some Full House

Why is the Fresh Prince on Nick 24/7? I mean I like some Will Smith but not all the time. I need a new pre bedtime show to watch. Brunch this morning was good, they served lots of my favorites, bacon, these amazing potato pancake things, and french toast sticks. I ate with my friend Daryl and Ashley, Daryl makes me laugh. After we were done eating we went up town to check out the art booths. Some of the stuff was really cool, some of it was just plain weird, but still it was pretty interesting. This afternoon was clean my room day. I cleaned and Lysoled the room, and did my laundry. I wore a lot of clothes this week and they smelled. Basketball will do that too you. Then I ran to Clinton with Ash to switch out her cars and eat some delightful homemade salsa mmm mmm. Chelsea came and got us and we went to a cookout, watched the balloon glow, and walked through the carnival. We had fun hanging out. We came back and went on a walk, no worries on Mom and Coach Wilson's orders we only walk in specific areas and never alone. It got a little cool tonight though and I got some bug bites. Good news, today was the last day of my blood poisoning medicine which means I'm all healed, Hurray!

Go Dogs Go!

Today has been a busy on the go type day which is odd considering I only had one class. The morning started with some weight lifting and a half hour conversation with Coach Thomas and Wilson. What a way to start the day, haha. Then I went to class, geography, like the teacher but right now it's a bore. Lunch was everything ham and cheese, weird, but still alright to eat. Spent all afternoon as in 4 hours running errands with Chelsea and later on Ashley. We were helping some people get ready for a big cookout and other stuff, random but whatever. After touring the town of Lincoln a good fifty times we finally got to enjoy the cookout. That lasted about an hour. It is the Art and Balloon Festival in town and we were right across from the balloon field ready to watch the launchings. A storm came and ruined that, the balloons couldn't fly so we ate dinner and are supposed to return tomorrow night to see the launchings and night glow. Since the cook out went south Ashley and I went home to Brent's football game. It didn't rain at all at home, we lost the game, but actually scored so I guess that counts for something. We ran to the house dropped off my schedules so I can keep car insurance (the whole purpose of my trip) and picked up yet more stuff I forgot. After that the day has finally slowed and I am ready for some T.V.

By the way I love my title and I also love the line... "Do you like my hat?" "I do not like your hat."

Thursdays=Not ADHD friendly

On Tuesdays and Thursdays I have three 80 minute classes in a row. Back to back to back and no lunch. Shoot me now. Those classes are sooo boring well the first two are okay but the last one is sooo boring. Weight lifting was okay I think we had 5 freshman show up, not suprising. My intro to literature class is actually pretty interesting which is good since it's the first one of the day. The teacher continually calls on me to answer questions and give interpretations though. I don't even attempt to answer and she still picks me, sometimes I like to hear what other people think. I had her for English 101 though so she knows I know my writings. I was full of energy today and had nothing to burn it on. I talked Coach Andrew's into hitting me fly balls for awhile then I took one of the freshman out to hit and play catch. I played outside in the blazing heat for almost two hours for the sheer fun of it...smart. Then I ended up going to the rec as well, most of my friends, okay all but like two, have three hour night classes twice a week so I get bored. Kristi's got out early so I went with her and proceded to exercise for another hour and a half. Then I came back and went on an hour walk with Ashley. I might be sore tomorrow but today I am feeling good.

6. Went to a softball meeting hurray.
7. Went to the rec to basketball. Our freshman recruits are mouthy and disrespectful. Could be interesting.
8. My room is officially the hang out room. All the sophomore basketball girls hang out here every night.
9. Went to Wal-Mart to buy more Capri Suns which we inhale like no other.
10. Have to get up early for weights tomorrow, whoo Hooo.

I am out of shape....fun

First days of classes=total boredom. I do love the fact that they don't start till 9:30 though that was nice. I am excited about my literature class though. I find that interesting and it is tought by my favorite teacher from last year so that should be good. I did run into a problem though I am scheduled with classes from 9:30-2:00 without a lunch break. That will be rough once basketball season rolls around. We had our first lunch date with Coach Thomas today, it was entertaining as always. He's a good guy...some days:) Spent the afternoon trying to start on some homework and picking up my school books, which I didn't have time to do yesterday. We had a grill out dinner tonight which was actually good I enjoyed it at least. Alex came and ate with us tonight so it was good to see him. Then we had a basketball meeting and ended up taking the freshman to play at the rec again. Coach told us she was really impressed with the way we are stepping up and taking charge, it is good to be encouraged. Tonight has been pretty random. I went to Wal Mart with Casie. Hung out in the lobby with some kids. And Ashley came over for a while. But my body is aching we played ball for about 2 1/2 hours today and I am not in that kind of shape.

I wish I owned Num Chucks

Working today was boring yet entertaining at the same time. The student flow was really slow so that was a drag. The entertaining part was the dumb things we did in our free time. We fought with num chucks, had a retro lunch box dance party, and all sorts of other thrilling things. I was kept in a room for 5 1/2 hours with three baseball players, the conselor, and the assistant baseball coach/student activities director, but we had a good time and made some new friends which was nice. This afternoon I redid my schedule and helped some kids move in. We as sophmore athletes decided this year that we would make sure the freshman weren't sitting alone these first few weeks before sports start up. To fix that Chelsea, Ashley, and I took all the freshman basketball players to the rec for a few hours to play ball and give them something to do. For softball I called all the freshman and gave them a time to meet us for dinner so they could meet us and they wouldn't have to sit alone. I know we are amazing but we just knew how awkward and unsettling the first few days were so we thought we could help. Tonight I helped Casie and Nikkie move in then we (Chels, Ash, and I) went to Walmart with them. We got hungry....I eat too much....we all eat too much. We ate a leftover steak from home, chips and cheese, turkey sandwiches, trailmix, egg rolls, and washed it down with some Capri Suns. I don't feel too bad about it either I ate little for dinner and got my exercise in so all is well.

I Hate Keyrings

About how it was -30 degree's in the gym today while we were working. We all had on sweatshirts and were still cold, enjoyable. I was in charge of putting mailbox keys onto keychains. My thumb nails hurt real bad now, I have to do it again tomorrow. Minus the pain it wasn't too bad. I had Ryan already this afternoon. I don't really care I missed him. He came over and played Nintendo for awhile and just hung out while I unpacked so his parents could get some work done. I finally have everything unpacked and put in it's place. I forgot a bunch of stuff so I ran home this evening and got it. I also raided the house for food, fat kids gotta eat. We had steak for dinner and it was delightuful, soo good. Then I went to help with youth group since I was home and turned back in a bunch of stuff I borrowed from the church over the summer. It was nice to get to see the kids and say goodbye. Ryker was there too so I got to spend some time with him before I came back. They sent me back with some snacks too which is awesome. Have a good day back at work tomorrow Amy:) Alright well I am fresh outta verbatim, so yeah.

Back to School

It is official I am moved in back at school. I had a good last week at home. I loved helping with VBS. The kids in my class are adorable I have had them since they were in pre-school and now they are third graders, they crack me up. It also gave me some time to hang out with Alyssa and Melody, I miss going to youth group with them in charge. An interestingly weird thing about last week...I somehow got bloodpoisoning. It started in my right forearm and was kinda freaky. But no fear all is well now I am drugged up and it is helping minus the fact the medicine wears me out. So I got everything unpacked and together already, well except my desk stuff, but it seems to have been a lot easier to get everything in the right place this year. I have to work as an orientation leader tomorrow when the freshman move in. We had a meeting tonight, the orientation leader's are all baseball boys minuse me, a bit odd but whatever. I am in charge of assigning and handing out mailbox keys should be a thrilling six hours. The downer side I have to be up and at breakfast by eight, I know really not early, but it is a little early. I think I am going back home tomorrow evening to pick up the things I forgot. It really doesn't matter all that will be here is freshman, so I am not missing anything, my friends move in on Monday. By the way my title has caused me to sing Back to School off of Billy Madison in my head, enjoyable.

Chris Daughtry Rocks

So about how Daughtry last night was awesome. The concert was at the state fair grounds. Two of my friends (Jessie and Kelsey) went with me I made them buy tickets with me two days after they went on sale...I am a bit of a Daughtry addict. Well we got track tickets, which mean you are on the floor. We got pretty far up if I had to guess I would say we were 5-7 rows back slighty to the left of center stage. The only way it could've been better is if we could have pushed our way to the middle. We stood the whole time, as one would do with track seating, and I didn't mind it during the concert, but my legs and back did ache a bit on the walk back to the car. Oh and it was hot, not just midly hot, but scorching. Take into account the fact that it was pushing 100 degrees outside and then cram hundreds of people shoulder to shoulder, needless to say I was dripping but it was totally worth it. Running a little behind because of some school meetings we missed some of the opening act which was 12 Stones. I didn't care about them any way. But Daughtry was awesome. They sound so good live and put on a good show. Most artists sound good in studio but in concert leave a lot to be desired, this concert was not at all this way. He has such a distinct voice and sounds great to a live audience. He even did this cool thing where he sang through a mega phone, crafty. His band was good as well and has some pretty talented guitar players in it. One weird thing, this concert was full of old people, particularly middle aged women. Honestly what parents listen to hard rock music? My bet was that since they watch a lot of TV the y liked him on idol and now have become sort of groupies. A bit weird to me but whatever. They played all the songs on their first record and I willing sang along with everyone else, but also did two or three covers. The only one I can remember at the moment was and Alice in Chains song. I didn't get any good pictures. I don't have a digi and my friends forgot theirs in the car (after our mile hike to the grandstand...different story) so all I have are some phone pictures I am trying to figure out how to load onto the computer. I was showing them to Alyssa and Melody at Bible School this morning and Melody couldn't remember who he was and the pictures weren't too clear. I told her don't worry you'll meet him at our wedding:) I know he's married and all but whatever a girl can dream...and good dreams they are.

Bye's and Babysitting

I watched Clay last night while Sam and Josh were at a wedding. The rate at which babies grow astounds me, although I know it shouldn't. I just saw him two weeks ago but it was almost as if he doubled in size. I love that baby very much and feel blessed that he is a part of my life. As always he was cracking me up. Just the things he does amazes me. Every time I would hold him he would touch my face and just stare into my eyes it was the coolest thing. Makes me wonder what he's thinking. This morning I got up and went to church. It was a good morning but a bittersweet one. I hate the last Sunday of my summer, too many goodbyes. I sat and talked to Ryan awhile after service he leaves early Wednesday moring for Florida and I probably won't see him again before then. Like I said before I am not sure how I feel about this. I know he is excited but a little apprehensive as well, I am sure he will be fine. The upside of things is that he is flying home fore Thanksgiving so at least I will see him at some points during the year. Toby was another hard goodbye. He is a guy from church that started with his wife as a youth sponsor my sophmore year of highschool. Our personalities are a lot alike and we spend a lot of time making fun of and laughing at each other. Everyone in our youth group always teases me about being his favorite. He is just a important person in my life who I know loves me and I can count on for anything. I really miss having him as a constant in my life. I don't know I just hate good byes even if they are more of see you laters they still aren't easy. Well I am minutes away from leaving for the Daughtry concert so I am out.

College Confusions

Summer is winding down, I don't know how I feel about this. I am ready to get back to school to see my friends and play ball...not go to class. I have enjoyed the freedom that is summer. Riding my bike, laying in the hammock, going to church, playing basketball in the driveway, and just hanging out. I also have loved the home cooked meals and have noticed I haven't been sick since I've been home which is a nice change from the pretty much biweekly illness you acquire in a dorm. College is a weird time, it's almost like you have two lives and they really don't interconnect much. I have my college friends and my home friends, college habits and home habits, it's just strange that's all when you consider you are the only thing that even ties these two groups. I went to dinner with Matt, Ryan, and Alyssa last night. I love doing this, these meals and get togethers are my favorite thing about any time off from school. With those two we have known each other for so long that we can go months without seeing each other but once we do we pick right back up from where we started. I like that, I like that they know my past and my present and have been a part of both, it's comforting. Ryan is going to school at South Eastern Florida University this year and I am a little wary of this. We didn't see each other too much during school last year but I liked knowing where he was, that he was close...I am really not digging this new found distance. I know he will be okay but still I am just not a fan of change. I can remember last year how nervous I was to move into school, how much I didn't want to go, and now this year I am looking forward to it. Maybe I am starting to grow up.

Barry Bonds and All That Baggage

Barry Bonds has officially tied Hank Aaron for the all-time homerun record. I don't get what the big deal is. I mean I understand the big deal is he is about to pass the record but past that. The whole back page of the sports page was pretty much dedicated to bashing him. Local readers wrote in their opinions of Bonds and the chase I think maybe four were "almost" positive. Some of the negative ones were just plain ignorant. One man even went as far as to say Bonds was a bad father. Excuse me sir do you know him? I just don't get it, we as average Americans sculpt what we think of the athletes and actors on our T.V.'s strictly through what the media says. Yet the media's ethics are the very things we complain about. I am sure that if I was famous I would get fed up with the camera's in my face all the time. Who can blame Bond's for not spilling his guts to reporters. People criticize him on all levels not just the athletic, without having a clue to who he really is. How can someone judge someone they have never met. Reporters can say what they want but all they have met is the public Bonds they don't really know him, yet they constantly make assumptions like they do. Sure there are the steriod accusations as well, but nothing has been proven so how can we tag a guy as a cheater when there is not legitamate proof. There are and have been many players who use steriods and will never be detected but no one bothers them. And even if in some years later Barry is proven guilty, that really doesn't change the fact that he hit all those homeruns. Hundreds of players have stormed through major league baseball on all sorts of performance enhancing drugs but none of them ever hit 755 homeruns, the feat in itself is astounding assumed drugs or not. Sure it is argued Hank Aaron didn't do drugs he was a model player, a model guy. I am not saying he ever did drugs but I am positive his slate isn't clean. We mess up...it's human nature, what makes one mistake bigger than another? So for now I am resigned to accepting Bonds record as it is, he has done the job, he deserves the credit. Who are we that we can take that away from him, that we can judge him? Not God I know that much.

Reading and Riding

Okay so I am a little slow blogging when it comes to the summer...my sorries:) Sooo life, well it has been good for the most part. I did read the entire Harry Potter in two days when I got it it was delightful. I am now reading Praise Habit by David Crowder and am attempting to read the Bible cover to cover. It is kinda interesting I have never read stories completely and word for word Sunday school versions are definately censored. Matt and Ryan came into youth last night, those two crack me up. I am suprised we didn't have our youth group invitations revoked when the three of us haven't been together in a while it can get a bit out of hand. Lately I have been a bike riding fiend I mean I ususally ride my bike but not 15 to 20 miles a day, but I am throughly enjoying myself. I worked at a golf outing fundraiser for school on Friday it poured all morning but it was nice to see my friends. I watched Clay on Saturday and he makes me laugh. He makes this noise that sounds like a kitten purring and it is pretty funny. He also would make these noises whenever I walked out of the room to make sure I knew he was there. Brent is sitting behind me reading this and he is annoying...stupid boys.

Where to?

Being back home is slowly taking it's toll. The reality that life is not filled with Christians and good people hits hard. The lack of sleep is taking over me. Who knew life could change so much over the course of the week. I am sitting in session one night in Tennessee and Jayson French gets up on stage to talk about graphics ministry and all the sudden I feel this urge to talk to him about this before I leave. I get up of Friday morning and meet with him for a few minutes, honestly I don't know why but I did. He gave me some details, some information, and some people to contact to learn more about graphic ministry. I never wanted to go into ministry I always felt it in the back of my heart but I became a pro at ignoring it. But bam without me even realizing it I began pursuing it. I am in contact with the lead graphic artist for Christ in Youth. She is answering my questions, giving me directions, helping me out, and encouraging me. I have never even seen a picture of this woman but this relationship is exciting to me. I am so anxious to dig deeper and know more about this field. It just seems to me to be something I have been looking for for a long time and I didn't even see it coming. This has also led me to look into applying for an internship at Christ in Youth next year it would put me on the road 12 weeks of the summer but right now it seems so right. I guess it is up to God how it turns out. Yesterday I read this awesome awesome book by Louie Giglio called i am not but i now I AM. It is all about the fact that God is and we are not, we are but footnotes in God's Story, and I can't even explain it but WoW. I have been engulfing literature lately and the thing that amuses me is I haven't even attempted to get my hands on the new Harry Potter book. I am digging into Christian works and they are so engrosing. I started now reading SexGod by Rob Bell and it is pretty much awesome as well. Rob Bell is such an effective communicator to the contempory crew his message is put into ways that blow your mind and make you look at everyday life differently. Random fact: I rode twenty miles on my bike tonight for the heck of it...but it did provide some good thinking time.

CIY a Change of Hearts

Wow...this past week has been amazing. Not only did I get to experience some Southern living but on a much bigger scale I got to experience God at his rawest. It was such a good week everything went perfectly. Our traveling was without problem and actually the time flew by quickly. The benifit of being a sponser: permanant shot gun seat and all time radio control. Our theme for confrence was really good this year it was called ONES. The concept is that no one was meant to be alone and we talked about injury, influences, and the value of a great friend. The speakers this year were phenomenal, one in particular named Jayson French was especially good. That man could throw it down, when he spoke not another sound was heard and 1500 sets of eyes were locked on him. I actually got the chance to meet him and on top of being a great preacher he's also a pretty cool and down to earth guy. The Aaron Pelsue Band provided the worship twice a day. This is the third time I have seen them and this is probably the best they have sounded. I would love to see our elders face as they watch this kind of worship. Nothing like rocking out for Jesus. But honestly it was great and now being older it is so cool to watch the kids in our group worship this way and really get into. You could see God breaking down barriers and blockades in their lives all week. The changes a week can make are astounding. It was awesome hearing the stories and choices that were made in our group almost half of our group made a decision to either be baptised or rededicated. It is impossible to go this confrence and not be moved. But there is always a downfall... and it comes with coming home. It is so hard to go from such a spiritual high back into your normal life. For seven days our days were all spent completely focused on God, we were free of worldly distractions and problems. But going back home is always a shock you just want to go back to where you are free to be yourself regardless, and you can actually feel and see God working in you. But for now we will ride our highs out and hopefully carry out the changes we vowed to make along the way, because God is knocking on our door to go out and change the world.

Gearing up for Confrence

So I have spent the last two days pretty much doing nothing and just relaxing. I was loving it. I have successfully reread all six Harry Potter books before Deathly Hollows comes out next weekend. Mom hates Harry Potter and says I am a dork, but the books are sooo addictingly good. Last night I picked up a copy of Tuesdays With Morrie to read on the way to Tennessee, it is tempting me terribly if we didn't leave tomorrow morning I don't think I would make it. We went and loaded up most of our stuff in the vans tonight we leave tomorrow after church. I looked it up and we are going to Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee the campus and town both look very nice. We are staying in Nashville tomorrow night I guess our hotel has a guitar shaped pool, snazy. Okay interruption....there is a mouse in our kitchen and I can hear it. This just creeps me out I HATE mice, ewe sooo disgusting. Snakes, spiders, bugs, whatever they don't bother me but mice, urgh, makes me quiver. Back to my rantings. Something I am excited about is that on Thursday we are traveling to Chattanooga to see Ruby Falls and Lookout Mountain and spend the day there. This sounds very interesting to me. So don't expect anything on here until next Saturday at the earliest I will try to give a nice summary of my trip and experiences. I know you all can't wait. But in the meanwhile please pray for us to have safe travel and a good week. Have a delightful week!

Visiting La Famila

I haven't written in about a week and to be honest I really can't tell you much of what has happened since yesterday. The week has blown by so fast I can't remember a lot of it. I umped my last game on Monday night, I did enjoy doing that this summer and it was easy money. I don't know what I am going to do with all these free evenings. Tuesday I went to play basketball there were only three of us there, we got a lot accomplished, haha, Not! Yesterday was a good day. The girls were good when I babysat, I am off for twelve days now. They went on a trip for the weekend and next week I am going to Tennessee for Christ in Youth Confrence with my church. This year I am a sponsor which means Free Trip, yahoo, I am hoping it will be a lot of fun. We leave Sunday morning and stay until the following Saturday. Last night I went to a memorial for Brian on his first birthday. It was very sweet and I liked remembering him, it was all and all a beautiful day and quick service. After that was over I came back to Grandma's for awhile she had to go to a church meeting though. So I left to get gas, well I broke my door handle while closing it so I went to Kip and Deanna's to see if they could help me fix it. We didn't even need Kip's help because Deanna and I are expert craftsman like that, haha. I really enjoyed visiting them I don't get to see them much and need to get in my mandatory make fun of Uncle Kip time, it's okay some where deep down inside he loves me:) When Grandma got back we ran to Pekin I needed to get things for my trip and we ate dinner then I came back and stayed at her house. This morning she said it was the first time I had ever stayed at her house...I don't believe her. I got up this morning and went to see Sam and Clayton. I watched Clay while Sam went to help set up for VBS. I really like going to see him he is so funny now and I love watching him crack himself up. Well I am getting ready to go to the Doctor for my sports physical so I better get off.

Running Late

I haven't written in like a week and I had no idea...oops! Well over that time I have once more been busy babysitting, umping, and playing basketball, squeezing in time for friends and fun somewhere between that. I have seen two sets of fireworks in celebration of the fourth. I hate fireworks, they are so loud and always catch me off guard...I am a bit jumpy. I watched the first set with two of my friends from College, it was nice to see them, especially since one of them left for an African missions trip yesterday. I watched the second set with Matt and Ryan in Hopedale, this is something I have pretty much done my whole life and they love to make fun of me watching fireworks, still I really enjoyed spending time with them College has really cut back on the times we see each other next year will be worse though Ryan is transfering to a school in Florida. I went to see Evan Almighty with Kelsey and Darci the other day it was a lot of fun and I loved the movie, very funny. I also went to a get together out at Kels on Tuesday it was a good time. Soo random information on the Fourth Darci and I were a little hyper dressing up at Grandma's and doing dumb stuff. Well we decided to make brownies which we barely revived from a mistake early on, DARCI'S mistake, hehe. Well we didn't eat them all so I took them home the dog then proceeded to eat them all while we were at the fireworks, nice. Oh and I got another cortizone shot in my foot, ouch, but the best part I get another one at the end of the month oh the joy! Last night I went to the College and played basketball, I throughly enjoyed myself once again, playing ball with friends is fun even if it was three trillion degrees. Coach Thomas and Ryan came to see us too which was a nice suprise I miss them. I have had a lovely morning this morning. Woke up late, got here late, on a hurry on the way here I took the wrong car then had to go back and switch left again saw three deer on the way and got stuck behind a train, I know awesome. Well at least Paige has slept in really late today, hopefully the rest of the day picks up:)

Ahh My Babies

I got to go play ball at the college again last night and it was a delightful time. It does make me tired but I definately enjoy it, especially the seeing my friends part. We only had three girls from the college last night so we were running a little low but it was still fun. I was woken up this morning at 5 by the lovely noise of my phone ringing. It was Amber telling me I didn't have to babysit because Paige had an ear infection and pink eye, nice. I throughly enjoyed going back to bed and having the day off definately worked in my favor. I was just talking to Mom the other day about how I wanted to go see the babies but never had any time so I used my day off wisely. Sam let Grandma and I (and Kaho too) come spend the afternoon with her and Clay. I love that baby that is all I have to say. I had a good time Josh (cousin...not husband, hehe) also had the day off so we got to spend time with him and Aunt Lynn also. We had pizza and went swimming it was nice to hang out. Clay was up and happy while we were there so that was fun too I love listening to him laugh and his funny noises. After we left Morton I took Grandma by Saywer and Brian's tombstone to look at it. It looks really nice and just felt peaceful, like I could actually feel the boys while I was standing there. While it was sad I just felt really close to them, I liked that. Then we stopped by Aunt Kathy's because Kyleigh was there so we spent some time with her Keith, Ashleigh, and Amy. It was nice to see all of them as well. Tonight I was supposed to umpire I got over there and got stormed out I got payed though so that was delightful. Oh but the best news of the night I GOT A CAR! I know I am excited, thanks Grandpa:) We have to go get the license tomorrow and then I am all set, whoo hooo.

Lincoln I Like it

Do you sometimes feel like your life has spun out of control and you have no idea how it got there? Like everything just colapsed at once and your standing at the bottom looking up. I kinda feel like that now there is so much going on around me that I am not going to discuss on here but sometimes, it just gets you. Aside from a few things I had an okay weekend, doing some fun things. On Friday night after babysitting I went to Lincoln to watch Ryan (Coach Thomas' son) play baseball. I met Ashley there and really enjoyed talking to her and watching the game. I love how excited he gets when we come to watch him, makes me laugh when he tries to act all cool in front of his friends. It was nice to see him and Coach Thomas they can always make me smile. Saturday I did work around the house all afternoon. Sunday I went to Brent's game for awhile and then went to the college to play basketball. I miss this a lot. Who knew sprinting up and down the floor in a 100 degree gym could be so releasing and fun. I liked seeing some of my teamates and my Coach and to just play to not have to worry about anything but playing ball. It was great. I also got to eat my beloved Jimmy John's mmm mmm nothing beats a Slim 5 for $3.18 I eat there a lot during school can you tell:) Today was a good day. Kelsey came to see the girls today so we had a special day. We took them to meet Amber and Jay for lunch, took them to the mall, let them ride the carosel, bought them each something little, and took them out for ice cream. It was a fun day and made the time pass a lot quicker than usual. Tomorrow I get to go play ball again and am looking forward to it...even though I am a bit sore from last time:)

Sweet Summer

The last couple of days have been on the go, but that's the way I like things. I'd rather be busy than sitting around. Monday I umped a game more like an inning of a game because the storm came through and we called it off. Not too bad getting paid for half an hour of work. During the day though I just had Alexis so I let her do something special we made homemade finger paints and painted out in the driveway all afternoon. Yesterday was pretty busy as well. I babysat all day then had to hurry home to go to Grandma Brown's visitation. I hate those things I can't even look in the caskets anymore makes me sick. Ever since I looked at Scott in his the image is burned in my eyes I can still see it and I HATE it. Just isn't how you want to remember people. Then we went to Brent's baseball game actually Justin, Kaho, and I left and wandered around Wal-Mart we were bored. After the game we ate Monicals and it was utterly delightful, I love me some Monicals. I took Kaho with me to babysit today it actually was a lot of fun. We went bikeriding, swimming, and played hide and seek. This evening I went back to Atlanta to watch my friends play a softball game I enjoyed seeing all my friends play. Also Coach Andrews (my college softball coach) was there so it was nice to see him. Well I need to get off to bed tomorrow we are taking the girls to the movies...fun fun:)

Scary Thoughs

This weekend has flown by which to me is a bit crazy because I haven't done much of anything. My days were slow and relaxing but apparently that was only an illusion. The water park Friday didn't turn out too bad I actually had fun. The new park was really nice and I enjoyed hanging out with Darci who came along. I ended up umping that night and then Darc and I babysat while Jay and Amber went to dinner. I got sunburned, well as burned as my untanning skin gets, but it was so weird I only burned in spot, kinda like a lepord. Saturday well not much went down. Ran to Bloomington, helped Mom set up for Brent's football fundraiser, and then came home and started reading Harry Potter for probably the tenth or eleventh time. I know I am cooler than cool, I am icy chill:) Then the boys and I went and had steak dinner at the fundraiser, it was delicious, can't beat a good steak. Today was pretty laid back as well. Started off the day at church, came home and sorted through the pile of laundry we had on the back porch that I am pretty sure even a professional mountain climber would have trouble scaling. The rest of the day I didn't do much just hung out, read, and played with the dog. I know another thrilling day of excitement, but it was nice. This morning my Uncle Ron's Mom passed away, this was bittersweet for the family as they didn't like watching her suffer but still. So if you could keep the Brown family in your thoughts and prayers it would be appreciated. To be honest with you this scares me a little bit. Just makes me realize again, as if I hadn't had enough reminders, how fragile life is. I have had this on my mind lately just for the fact that I recognize how much older my family is getting my Aunts and Uncles are older than my Mom and it just scares me to think that I could lose them. I know it sounds dumb, age really has nothing to do with death, but still its just a harrowing thought.

Random note I found a new song I really like it is called Does Anybody Hear Her? by the Casting Crowns, I really like it, and you should probably check i t out.

The Pleasures of Life

Today I didn't have to work and when I woke up at ten I was reminded of the simple pleasures of life. Extra Sleep is always a bonus. Or eating the first chip out of a freshly opened bag of potato chips. Driving with the windows down flying your arm out in the breeze. Having a song in your head or on your heart all day and then hearing it first thing when you turn on the radio. The way your body feels exhausted after exercising. Showering after a hot day. Eating a popsicle so slowly that it starts to melt down the stick. Holding a baby. Reading a book that you loved as a child. Sitting outside and looking at the night sky. Hugs from relatives you don't see very often. Getting a new magazine in the mail, in my case particularly you can't beat a new Sports Illustrated (I just recieved and read one today). Or how about laying in a hammock and listening to birds and such. The smell after the rain. Or even playing in the rain. Watching an old movie. Laughing until your sides hurt. Walking around smiling for no particular reason and then smiling some more because you know it makes people wonder. Hearing from an old friend. Having absolutely nothing to do for a day or even an hour. Having a home and clothes and food and family and everything else completely miraculous that we take for granted everyday.

By the way I have to go to State Farm park tomorrow to help watch the girls I babysit. This park is all about the water and between you and me....I really don't like swimming or the water too much at all. Should be an interesting day:)

Birthdays, Parades, and Family Time

I had a busy but very enjoyable weekend. Friday night I had to umpire little league in Atlanta I had to do it again tonight. Sometimes parents can get a little rough but all in all it's a pretty easy paycheck. Saturday I hung out all afternoon went shopping for awhile and then met my friends in Morton. It was Kelsey's birthday so we went downtown Peoria for dinner. We ended up at Texas Roadhouse it was good and a lot of fun. Sunday was busy. I started the day at church. I ended up helping our youth group with a lunch fundraiser, making food and boxing lunches. It was nice to catch up with some of the kids and sponsers I hadn't seen much throughout the year. In the afternoon Kelsey wanted me to go to the Turkey Festival so I did. I am not a big fan of fairs/carnivals, I don't really know why but still. We watched the Parade. Some little girl kept stealing my candy I was getting upset. Do you think they have fairs like this in other parts of the country? You know the kind where the big atractions are the antique tractors, horse riders, and the float made by the local church? The whole concept is a little odd to me but very small town I guess. Brad and Lori were in town so we spent the entire evening at the Gassers with the family. I love doing this. I was a little bummed that we couldn't go until late though because most of the family had left. Grandma and the Fender's were still there though so I got to see them and baby Clayton. I really look forward to family gatherings I miss seeing my family. I had a lot of fun just hanging out and catching up and it was nice to see the Class family. Today has been a long day I was in Atlanta from 6:00 in the morning until 8:00 tonight, babysitting and umpiring. Jimmy came by tonight though so it was nice to see him, since he live in Charleston he doesn't come around much anymore so it is always a good suprise when he stops by. Bed...needs me.

Eating Veggie Tales....Sorry Jr.

I am back sorry for the long drought. I have just had a lot going on and some other things on my mind. But fear not here I am! So life in the last week...wow has it been that long since I have posted...has been busy. Last Saturday I got to babysit Clay. I really did enjoy myself even though Sam thinks I just tell her that. I loved spending time with him and playing with him, who knew that someone who just lays there and looks around could be so engrossing. I started babysitting full time this week. It has been a little stressful just having some trouble getting Alexis who is six transitioned back into summer mode and fighting with the potty training of two year old Paige. It's hard for her to see me as a disciplinarian since I spend most of my time during the year being "fun" Carrie. Believe me we have fun though. We go on treasure hunts, build forts, play in the sprinkler and pool , go for bike rides, draw chalk pictures on the sidewalk, and sing random made up songs. Hopefully things will ease up once we all readjust to one another. Random fact: I have a new found love for asparagus. It is good Justin and I grill it and eat it almost everynight. Before now I only knew asparagus as Jr. on Veggie Tales, mmm Jr. tastes good cooked with a little salt. Other things I have been doing include riding my awesome amazing bicycle, hanging out with my brothers, playing with my dog, and making a picture scrapbook of pictures from my first year of college. I know my life is just that thrilling:)

The Joys of Boys

I didn't accomplish too much today. Pretty much just laid around and watched T.V. and did laundry. Went to Denise's tonight for a cookout I actually enjoyed myself. Cookout's are some of the best parts of summer. Sitting around eating too much food and telling stories it's kinda fun. The car ride there and back was delightful as well nothing like being crammed into a tiny car with three boys over six feet tall. Oh the joys of having three brothers, they crack me up...and annoy me sometimes:) All I can say for the rest of the day is right now I am a bit overwhelmed and don't have much else to say.

I Love Mike

I spent a lot of my day at church and mostly enjoyed it. I wasn't going to go to church this morning the alarm went off and I turned it off and rolled over. Then about ten minutes before service started I decided to go and I was right on time. I was glad I went though our choir director is retiring so a lot of the families I grew up around in the church came back it was nice to see them and catch up. The Case family (my old youth ministers) came back as well, I haven't seen them since last summer and it was great to see them. I definately miss Mike a lot and really look forward to seeing him, catching up, and getting some big hugs, I love that guy. Seeing him is really some of the best and worst, I love seeing him but I always know that we just have him for an hour or two before we have to say goodbye again, and the goodbyes still break my heart. I wish he didn't live so far away he is very important to me and sometimes I could really use his company in life, he knows it too. Especially now we all always make sure to say good goodbyes because after losing Scott you always live with this fear in the back of your mind that every goodbye could be the last one. Tonight I went to a cookout at Lys' it was fun I miss the summer days of youth group just hanging out and the amazing food. I enjoyed myself though and look forward to spending time at the church over the summer. I just realized I don't have to work tomorrow and I am stoked but my T.V. is calling my name.

Argh Ye Mateys

Rain. It was the theme of the day. I didn't blog last night because I got home late after seeing Pirates 3. A good movie by the way. I don't know just something about the ships and the pirates intrigues me, I want to ride on that ship...I am SO weird. It's okay I know it. This morning we went to Chilocothe to watch Olympia play Fieldcrest. We won, but it was a good game, albeit a little wet. It was nice to see some of my family even though lots of our fans were looking at me funny for sitting on the other side. It was only for two innings and come on I had good reason. Spent the afternoon at home cleaning things, doing laundry, and washing dishes. Well and playing outside in the rain. I really wanted to do that for some reason so we went out and played ball as it rained, fun. Then tonight Brent (There you are in my blog dork) and I went over to Grandma's. I finally figured out and fixed her digital frame, it is kinda cool once you know how to work it. We were having some nice conversations about our family, funny as well, oh Grandma. I haven't spent much time with Brent since I went to college so it was kinda nice. Sometimes it still seems weird to me that I like my brothers now we used to fight all the time when we were little, maybe that is just what siblings are for.

Heat is the Enemy

This must be what it feels like inside an oven. Man this house is hot! So today was the day of nothing and I throughly enjoyed myself. I did nothing exciting at all and just sat around all day, who knew that could be entertaining. Mom leaves for D.C. tomorrow so we will be fending for ourselves this weekend. That means lots of laundry and cleaning up for me to do, not my favorite thing in the world. Okay so I was randomly looking at the most emailed pictures on yahoo today and there are some really interesting animal ones. Like these Egyptian tortoises that are about an inch long, one guy has five of them sitting on his hand...crazy. Or ones of a dog nursing three tiger puppies that were rejected by their mother and a cat nursing a puppy whose mom was killed. Animals are intersting and sure make some cool pictures. It is now time for me to escape this furnace of a downstairs to the all most cooler upstairs.

Teaching Lunch Ladies

Long day. I babysat from six-thirty this morning to five this afternoon. It wasn't bad just a bit draining. The more I babysit the more I feel for stay at home Mom's some people just don't understand how challenging it can be to wrangle kids all day. I am glad it didn't rain though so we could play outside. It is like four hundred degree's in the house. I think I am sweating just from typing. I ran on the treadmill again today. My foot didn't hurt as bad this time, I think it may be improving...fingers crossed. I just hate not doing anything that is explicitly exercise so my I always end up giving in to running even if it does cause a little pain. Also it is good for my hyperactivity helps me sleep better at night:) Spent the rest of the evening just hanging out watching American Idol and peeling grapes, it's great fun try it sometime. Another fun thing to do with grapes is cut them into the shapes of chromosomes and create a DNA map. I used to do this on my lunch tray at school. Sometimes I had alot of free time between classes and yes I am kinda a dork, but we all enjoyed it and I am sure the cafeteria workers loved the learning, haha.

I Have Two Babies...Deal With It

Today was visit my babies day. I started the day off at Aunt Kathy's to play with Kyleigh. She was awake and happy the whole time I was there. She is getting so big she can almost sit up. She definately wore my arms out though from lifting her up and down. Still I couldn't resist her little giggle was too cute to stop. Then I went to Grandma's for the afternoon. I ate lunch and helped her figure out the new digital photo album Aunt Lynn got her. I searched all over the internet and ended up finding her a lot of family pictures to load into it. After a while we went to Morton to see Sam and Clay. First we had to go to KMart though so Grandma could buy some plants and potting soil. Of course she picked the one plant with no tag on it anywhere. Clay had just gotten up when we got there and was happy about half the time we were there. He gets more and more adorable everytime I see him...even if he is crying. Lynn came over right before we left, so we got to see her, and wave at Uncle Rich and Josh while they were working outside. I like going to see my family, I wish I got to see them more often. My goal for the summer is to go visit them more. It still amazes me how much I love those babies. They don't even have to be doing anything yet I just sit and stare at them and think how blessed I am to have them in my life. I guess that is just the gift of love and family. I have Paige again tomorrow so it is time to try and sleep. Let's see how well that works out for me.

Adventures of Paige

Wow. Two-year old's are crazy. But man do they crack me up. Paige has changed so much in a year it still amazes me, I guess kids are like that. It was an interesting but fun day. Six thirty came and went and man was I tired. We had a full day. We talked to birds, played with an invisible baby monkey, mooed at hay, and pretended to be monsters. We went on a walk up and down the same sidewalk for a hour with a baby and play stroller which I had to carry the whole time. We played in the garage and I had to pretend to be a gas station owner because she "had to work and make monies." This summer brings new challenges though in the joy of potty training. We stayed dry all day until about two in the afternoon when we went to hide in Mom and Dad's closet. I kept asking all day if she needed to potty, she said no...this time she was not telling the truth. She peed all over the closet floor it was like a small ocean. Fun to clean up who knew kids had that much in them. When I came home I was very energized so I whipped out the treadmill and ran for fifteen minutes. I worked up a delightful sweat but also hurt my foot. Sometimes I am dumb like that I do things simply because I want to even knowing what the consequences will be. Sometimes I just don't care.

Graduation a Time for Nostalgia

Today has been as promised a busy day. Today was graduation Sunday at church I always like watching the slide show of the graduates. Dustin was even there today which for him is a major accomplishment. I talked to him for awhile and it almost seemed like the old him, I keep hoping everything will turn out right, he did graduate today though which is one step forward. Today also marks one year since Julian died. He was a little 4 year old boy at our church who I babysat and often played with. He was such a sweet little boy is greatly missed but today his parents were baptized I just thought that was really cool. After church we did yard work outside and attempted to empty our nasty pool water, it was really gross and the bugs were annoying. After that I met Darci, Kelsey, and Emily to go to Michelle's graduation party. I skipped the ceremony way too boring for me. The party was nice, I just like the fact that she graduated, she has had a lot of change in her life in such a little time. I hope that she continues to accomplish things in her life and doesn't settle just because she has a child. My hope for her is that she can find a workable balance of both. It was nice though to just be at her party catching up with old friends and looking at pictures from when we were little. I can't believe how much we have all changed but tonight even if it only was for a couple of hours we were back to those naive little girls who thought all that mattered in the world was playing ball, being together, and having fun. I look at those pictures with nostalgia but also hope for the future because I know we all will continue to do great things. Bed is calling my name I start watching Paige tomorrow, I don't know if this whole 6:30 wakeup thing is gonna work out for me.

Menbalaya the Greatest Plant Ever

This marks my 200th Post Hurray!!! (I write too much) Another major accomplishment of today...I finally unpacked and put away all my stuff!! I know it was just as exciting to me. I can finally see my floor and bed it is amazing...but a bit dirty. The next step is finding a good place to put my plant. He is looking lovely but has yet to settle into his new home due to the pets that inhabit this place. The cat attacks him and the dog just runs into him so I keep him on the table out of the danger zone. Mom is not a big fan of this, but what can you do, this plant is awesome. I took him out sunbathing today set him on the sidewalk for awhile to get some air, he thoroughly enjoyed this. The rest of today was spent chilling. Mom and I went to Bloomington tonight to pick somethings up and for once I actually found everything I needed. That was nice. The highschool girls were upset today in the regional, believe me I know the feeling. A good thing for them though is that they have no seniors so they lose no one and can work off of it for next year. Our boys won and so did Mark's so they will be in the same sectional. I saw Mark on the local news tonight I think that makes him some kind of a superstar:) There he was just chilling in the huddle looking all important, haha. Tomorrow is highschool graduation so I have some parties to hit up after church. Might make for a long day so I am gone.

Ballpark Junkies

Today was spent at the ballpark. Kelsey and I went to watch NJCAA Nationals in Bloomington and for once she was early. I can't remember that ever happening before I was in total shock. We went to watch Parkland play, they played two games. The had already lost once yesterday so when and if they lost today they were done. Well they won their first game and should have won their second but ended up losing. I have a lot of friends on that team so I felt bad but as a rival it was kinda nice to see them lose. Sometimes I just get tired of hearing about how good they are, they aren't that good. Between the games we went to McDonald's quickly I had some kind of Shrek milkshake, it was like chocolate mint or something, but it was the color of snot or maybe cat vomit. I don't know just thought you would like to know that. When we came back we went out to the highschool boy's regionals at Oly. Tremont beat Mackinaw, since Kels went to Tremont she wanted to check it out. I spent my time talking to my friends from the softball team who had come over after their practice. Somedays I wish I could go back and play on that team. Tomorrow I think we are meeting Jessie for lunch so that will at least give me something to do. Okay well my foot has been a little painful today so I am off to bed.

Justin is Gross and Cortizone Shots Hurt

I couldn't blog last night my computer was not cooperating and was moving slower than molasses. To be honest I don't really know what molasses is but I threw the old saying in there for flavor. Nonetheless you didn't miss much we just went to Monmouth to move some of Justin's stuff home. All I discovered is that he is disgusting. His room was so dirty it wasn't even funny I stood in one spot the whole time I was in his room, right where the T.V. had been. The filth hadn't reached there yet, I bet it has by today. Other than that I didn't do much yesterday. Today, well today was quite the adventure. I had a foot doctor appointment to get my inserts recast. They had fallen apart from all their use this year and I needed new ones. I thought that was all I was going for. Before I was casted Dr. Paul came in to look at my foot, I hadn't seen him since November. Well apparently he was not satisfied with what he saw. He examined it and I still have swelling, discoloration, and have lost some mobility in my foot, so he ordered x-rays to see if somehow he missed something. Those came back okay from what he could see so I thought I was done. I thought wrong. He then told me I had to have a cortizone shot in my foot. Can you say ouch? I didn't want to do it, I was by myself and hate needles so I was going to come back in to do it. But Mom via cell phone made me have it today. Dr. Paul said this is one of the most painful areas to have a shot, I can't disagree with him it hurt. He sprays my foot with this cold spray to numb it which also makes your skin burn then he inserts a half inch needle into the bone on the bottom of my foot which he marked with an X. I layed down the whole time and covered my eyes, while I kinda yelled. It was very painful and lasted for about a minute into he got all the steroids in. It is a burning stabing pain that just makes you want to cry. I didn't though, I know you should be proud. Well then it made my foot go completely numb and tingly I have looked really cool walking around tonight. More pain is supposed to set in tonight, heres to hoping it doesn't.

Time with Ryker

Random storms reigned down on my today...not a big fan. Seriously though that stuff was falling hard from the sky, scary, well to me at least. I thought I broke the dishwasher today but then I realized that I am dumb and the surge protector strip had just turned off. I gave the dog another bath between rains because she has this gift of finding anything disgusting to roll in. And I spent the rest of my time chillin. I know it is thrilling. Tonight was spent babysitting Ryker. I love playing with that kid he cracks me up, he is such a boy. The other day he (who is 4) wrapped his dogs chain around a tree so that he could use it to help him climb up it, who thinks of that. Tonight I took him outside to play for awhile and even though every thing was wet he insisted on climbing on it, even the soaked slide of which he proceded to fall into a puddle and get drenched. We played trucks, with rocks, and swang, until the rain moved us inside. The next hour was spent playing in the kitched sink with all of his bath toys. We were having an undersea adventure I am sure his Mom appreciates this. We also had to watch some dumb dalmation sing-a-long movie which then inspired him to become a dog for the next half hour, which included licking and eating his food off the floor. Then we built the coolest train track ever out of his Thomas set, in four years of practice I have become quite the railroad creator. Is it dorky that these games are as much fun for him as they are for me. It's just that after having to be a, well sort of grown up, all day I love the escape of being able to act like a kid again and having my biggest worry be whether or not I have enough pieces of railroad to complete the track. I like my journey's back into the innocence of childhood.

Drugs Suck

There are mutant june bugs in this house. They are attacking from all angles. I wish I had something to get rid of them besides my hands. I don't like the feeling of their wings scraping my palms. Today I really didn't do anything, I need to work on that. I did do a little more packing and some laundry though. For the three weeks until I start working I have assumed the position of live in maid...too bad it doesn't pay. I went and watched Brent's last home game tonight, it was thrilling...not. But that is just the amazingly supportive type of sister I am:) Lys and Ryker came to the game so I spent most of it playing with Ryker. He was bouncing off the walls like always, I bring out the best in children.

So I have a problem, well not really me but it has been on my mind a lot lately and I feel like unloading it. I have an old friend who I grew up with that is making a mess of his life. I haven't really talked to him in about a year because I got tired of the way he was ruining himself and listening to him make excuses when I confronted him. He is into drugs, drinks excessively, and smokes. He should graduate this year but because of his decisions he probably won't and it breaks my heart. I miss the good guy he was, I miss the old memories, I miss the old him. His parents do not parent which is a root of his problems he knows he can do whatever he wants and get away with it so he does. I pray everday that God would help him and open his eyes, guide him in the right direction, but I just don't see progress. Here's something else that bothers me about him. The person he hates the most in this world is the girl who killed Scott, but what he doesn't see is he is that girl. He is headed down her path, making the same decisions, and doesn't realize that every wrong step he takes doesn't just affect him, but everyone around him who loves him and cares about him. This may sound bad but I wish that God would just break him and shatter his heart wide open so he will finally recognize what he is doing and get help. I just want him to be okay, but right now I don't think that is possible.

Happy Mothers Day...and a Visit to Matty's

This weekend was pretty busy and pretty fun. I spent all of Saturday in Springfield. The morning was spent with Lys and Ryker watching Matty play ball. I miss spending time with them and can honestly say I am really looking forward to having the three of them around all summer. Then we watched some more baseball before I spent the night with Jessie and Kelsey at Lincoln Land. I had fun but some parts were just a bit disheartening. Not about my friends but other things that went on, partying is stupid. Here's my take "party" friends are not real friends they do not know or care about the real you they just care if you bring beer. I wish other people could see this...no you aren't popular...you are being used. This afternoon after I got back I pretty much just chilled. I did some more unpacking, fun fun. I played outside with Brent and the dog and for the first time in a long time sat down and read the Sunday paper cover to cover, man I missed that. Tomorrow Kale starts working, that means I will sit here all day by myself doing nothing, maybe I should unpack somemore...or not.

Ever since I was a little girl I always found myself fantasizing about my future, my family, my children. I have always wanted to be a Mom, maybe because I have such great Mom's in my life.

Happy Mothers Day Mom, Grandma, Grandma, Kathy, Lynn, Deanna, Kathy, Amy, Ashleigh, and Sam. Thank you for all you do, you guys are the best.

The Next Picasso (NOT)

Ahh Friday, the day of me doing....well...not much. I found over 250$ of past paychecks today so I took them to the bank and put them in my savings. That was a very nice suprise I only thought I had one to put in. This afternoon I chilled outside. I played with the dog and gave her a delightful bath. I also started painting today, I decided I wanted to take it up this summer.I love the abstract work you can do with paint. I like the one I got done but it was on sketch paper which held the paint alright but still curls. I bought a canvasy type paint paper tonight for my next wonderful works:) Right now I think I am painting with some type of acrylics I am hoping to buy some new brushes and oil paints as I progress. I have never painted before it is exciting. Random fact: a lightening bug just flew on my computer screen. Reminds me of when we used to stand out in the yard and whack them with baseball bats. I know we were weird kids. I got my grades today I got A's on all my finals and in all my classes so my 4.0 remains. I also found out I made honorable mention all region for softball which is nice as well. I made an academic team too we just don't know which one yet. Tonight I went out and watched Brent and Darci play and then we ran to Pekin. I made some Mother's Day drawings for Kathy and Amy of Sawyer so we dropped those off as well. Tomorrow morning I am going to watch Matt play in Regionals with Alyssa and Ryker and then staying with Kelsey at LincolnLand. My first sleepover visit to another campus...should be an adventure.

The Gift of Children

First day at home. Well I wasn't really at home...for the day at least. I went with Sam to the doctor so I could hold Clay while she was at her appointment. I haven't seen him for awhile so I loved doing it. Okay this is dumb, but, it made me feel kinda grown up. I can remember when I was younger and all my older cousins would hang out and do things together and I always wished I could. I really enjoyed my time being with Sam and through this whole year I have become a lot closer to all of my cousins and I have realized even more of what a blessing they are. I can actually talk to them about things and a lot of times they have answers, it is a nice feeling. She kept telling me thankyou for coming which was nice, but really I have been looking forward to it all week. I really miss Clay, and even though I am pretty sure everyone who saw me walking him up and down the hall thought he was my baby, I loved doing it. I love that I am trusted enought that people let me spend time with their kids. Honestly I think that is what keeps me sane sometimes knowing that somewhere there is some child who loves me regardless of my fears and failures. This is why I think I became so attached to Ryan and Ali at school. On a campus full of judgements and problems I knew that the mere fact that I took time to play with them or talk to them made them love me. They don't care about that other stuff, I wish more people could be that way.

Home Again Home Again Jiggety Jig

I am home...I miss Lincoln already. I find it incredibly ironic that the day I moved in I couldn't wait for this day and now that it's here I wish that it wasn't. I can remember talking to my cousins and friends about how scared I was to go to college and how much I didn't want to. They kept telling me once I got there I would never want to leave. I didn't believe them then...I do now. I spent the morning cleaning and packing up my final little things, I hate doing this. Packing and unpacking just irratates me, the mound of stuff overtaking the floor in my room mocks me. I met my friends and Coach Thomas for our last lunch of the year in the caf. I won't miss the food, I will miss the people. I found myself not even eating but just drinking in the compainionship and conversation, I felt the hunger later. After lunch I took my government final, I am not gonna lie, my hand cramped but I got it done in and hour. I also found out I got an A on my Math test. I am waiting on two more grades before I know my gpa. The rest of the time before I left was filled with goodbyes, goodlucks, and see you laters. That's the weird part of a Junior College, you are only with the kids older than you for one year. It is hard to let go. I left thankyou cards under Coach Thomas and Coach Wilson's doors. They both called me to thank me and let me know that it meant a lot to them, they did a lot for me I just wanted to let them know I appreciated it. Thanking people for thanking you it's a bit ironic. It's just that I have learned in very tough ways the importance of letting people know you care and appreciate them before it's too late. All my friends said "We'll send one next year." What if there is no next year? Why not just send two.

Carrie Out
I should be sleeping. I haven't been doing too good at that lately. I took my math final today, it went well..I think. I knew everything on it but one problem and since I couldn't figure it out the teacher threw it out for the whole class. Nice! I tried my hardest to take my time and focus, I think it almost worked. I spent most of the early morning running some errands and chilling in Coach Wilsons office with my friends. Coach got iratated with me because I told her that sometimes I think about going to an easier school and getting a 4.0 without really trying instead of a harder school and getting a lower gpa. She told me I might as well quit school now and go work at McDonalds because I would be wasting my gift. I know this is true but it is honestly something I think about. This afternoon I hungout with Coach Thomas, I randomly ran into him at student services so we sat and talked for awhile then we asked me to go with him to pick up Ryan for school. I am really going to miss them this summer...good thing I know where they live:) Tonight I had to run Mom home, she brought me the car so I could get home tomorrow. I brought Ashley with me and gave her a tour of Minier...long tour, haha. Then we came back here and went over stuff for our Honors Government final tomorrow. Six essay questions, I can feel my hand cramping already. The rest of the night a bunch of us just hung out, I can't believe it is our last night on campus. I have so much to do and so many goodbyes to say tomorrow, I don't think there is enough time.

Today has been a pretty laid back day, I enjoyed it. I didn't have any finals today just had to turn in a paper, which I did. I spent most of the morning packing, Mom came down this evening and almost everything is picked up and gone. Its a bare and lonely kind of feeling. My room is no longer my room but once again a dorm room, it has lost its personality. This afternoon was spent adventuring. I went with Ashley to Clinton to move some stuff home. We ended up down an old country road with a stream running over it we spent about an hour just walking in the water and on the rocks, enjoying the nature, warm weather, and sound of the running water. I wish I had my camera it was very pretty. We found another road as well the sand and rocks under the water there was a lot rougher but not as deep, we could walk farther. It was very nice but very unsafe not for us but for people who drive on those roads and don't know there is a foot or two running water on them. They are not marked very clearly just seems like a dangerous place for motorists. The rest of the night was spent walking around town and brushing up on my Math for my final tomorrow. We also took a trip to Culver's for some delightful icecream. I can't believe my first year of college has flown by SO fast.

Carrie Out
We lost today, we really shouldn't have but we did. Our season is done and for the first time in my life I am okay with that. I really enjoy playing but this year sometimes the simple frustration didn't make it worth it. Still I am glad for the ability to play again and it will be something I look forward to doing next year. When we got back I did some packing. I didn't get too much done just my clothes, I will work on it more tomorrow. My room just doesn't feel like my room anymore. Where there used to be artwork, posters, and pictures there is now white wall. It really makes it look different and I don't like it. While there are some things I miss at home I still don't think I am ready to be there all summer. After watching Brothers & Sisters my friend came over to play Nintendo for awhile until Ashley got off work. Brittany and her had this grand idea of going out and laying under the stars. I guess kids that live in town don't see those too much. Well it sounded fine to me so I went with it. We decided to go lay out between the fields but a security guy followed us before we even got there, more concerned with us laying down than the kids right next to where he was parked throwing rocks at the dorm windows. So we ended up out at the golf course. It was really nice out tonight. Staring at the stars is really peaceful, just feels like it brings you closer to God. Like you could talk to him and actually feel his presence and know he is listening, I like that feeling.

This should be short and sweet because my bed is calling me. Today was a long day we left at nine this morning and just got back at 11:30. 14 hours of softball fun. So our first game was really good we beat the number two team in the region in a big upset. Our second game we should have won but a two run homer in the sixth put us down and eventually out. Then our third game, played at 7:30 we also won. By that time every one was so worn out they were slap happy but the game was fun. We now are in the top four and enter round four of the region tournament a lot farther than I expected us to go. We have a chance if we keep playing solid ball...let's hope. It was nice to see all my friends again today and actually have a chance to watch them play instead of playing against them. We must've looked goofy though girls from Lincoln, and Lincoln Land sitting together and cheering for Parkland, the three biggest rivalries in the confrence. Oh well when you play together for so long even though we are different colleges and playing for different schools we are still teamates. Okay so yeah bed it needs me.

Last night was an interesting night. My new medicines and I didn't mesh too well and kept me up all night. Let's just say my stomach exploded, it was lots of fun and little sleep. I was tired this morning on the bus ride to Mattoon. It was pouring here when we left but no it wasn't raining there. Lies all lies. We drove the two hours down there to sit in the rain for two hours and then drive home, just to drive back and play tomorrow. We did have an Olympia reunion today though which was nice to see all my friends and old teamates, we had seven almost enough to form our own team. When we came back here I had Ryan for the afternoon. I missed playing with him so it was nice to have some time to spend with him before we go home for the summer. We played some mean nintendo, practiced cursive handwriting, and shot baskets, I love that little boy. The rest of the night was spent with Ashley and Brittany, we ate dinner and played basketball outside then went to Walmart with Mom. She had come down to bring me a new prescription which hopefully won't empty my stomach. Then she took the three of us to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Thanks Mom I love you, hehe:) After she dropped us off we played Nintendo, rocked out, and then went on a nice long walk. Well then we decided to go on a nice long drive and vent and talk, so we just got back at midnight, I enjoyed it though. I like knowing that you can have a great Friday night without drinking, partying, or any of that stuff, I think more people here on campus need to learn that. Okay well I have once more a nine o'clock bus to catch so adios.

Today has been a full day. Classes and finals review all morning. Followed by a quick lunch and working on my art final. I got it 3/4 of the way done then I had to go see my math teacher for finals prep since I miss review day tomorrow. Then I went to talk to my basketball coach and shoot hoops for awhile until Mom came to take me to the doctor. I almost hit him in the face Mom says, but it was totally on accident. He pushed on my left eye socket right where it hurts and the pain made me jump, oohh that was a painful. I got put on two new medicines along with ibueprofen for the pain. I feel a little better tonight but can tell the medicines upset my stomach. Then I went to Coach Andrew's for dinner which was enjoyable and tasted much better than caf food. His wife is an artist so she took me on a tour of her house which she has paintings all over and her little art studio. She does good work and I am jealous of her studio, I want one. After that I came back here and went on an hour walk with Ashley, she needed to vent some things and it was a nice night so I went with it. I came back here and finally finished my paper, it is completed and I am relieved. Six pages not bad, five out of six papers done. It is midnight, my heart is beating funny, and our bus leaves at nine tomorrow so I am out.

My face hurts. I know random, but I don't think I ever got rid of whatever was messed up in my sinuses. I keep spitting up blood and it hurts all over the left side of my face, just in case you were wondering. Once again I did not write my term paper I only have one more night to do it. I did research and get it my paper all organized and ready to go though...that was before I fell asleep in the library because my head hurt. I didn't even realize it. Practice was actually fun today we just played a game the whole time. It misted a little but didn't rain which was nice. Me and Kristi stayed out and took some fly balls though for the fun of it. We have a cookout at Coach Andrew's tomorrow, should be fun, minus the fact that it cuts into homework time. I am forcing myself to write it tomorrow afternoon and it better work out cause if not, I am not in good shape. I am also slowly working on packing things this is not working out too well, I need more motivation in life. Is there such thing as senioritis for freshman? If there is I have definately caught it and am looking for a cure.

I am just not in a writing mood right now so this'll be short. I didn't even write my term paper today, I am lazy. I am too distracted to write I am typing to Ashley and talking to Kelsey this is hard to focus. I will post more tomorrow, my life isn't that interesting this should satisfy your wonderings.
