Catch-Up

These last couple days have followed the path of my whole break, busy, hectic, and always on the go. At least I am not bored. Wednesday night I met some friends from highschool for dinner. I hadn't seen them since we graduated and we spent 3 hours just catching up, it was nice. Then I went to the basketball games to watch Marks team play and visit with Ron, Kathy, and Marsha. Thursday I went shopping for awhile with Mom, Justin, and Kaho and then spent the rest of the night watching our boys play basketball. Today I got up early-ish and went over to Grandma's to help her do some stuff. I vaccuumed her house and offered to shovel her driveway, she told me I didn't need to. Well Uncle Kip ended up doing it and was giving me a hard time about not doing it. But for the record I was told no, I told Grandma he was an old man and I would do it, she shut me down. Sorry Kip:) Then we went to Morton to visit Sam and Clayton. Lynn and Josh were off work to so they were over as well. I had a lot of fun visiting and playing with Clayton, he is too funny. The new toys he got for Christmas were awesome I tried them all out. I also played some Wi with Josh, sometimes I am almost good. Then I took Grandma to get her groceries and run some errands before I came home. I was home long enough to read the paper and eat supper, before heading with Kelsey to watch our girls team play. We went to dinner with the Finchum's afterword and then went over to their house to see their new puppy. She is the cutest thing. Hung out there all night long doing pretty much nothing and enjoying it. Good thing they love us:) Okay well I just got home but I think I am going to attempt to sleep.

Merry Christmas

Christmas has come and gone. That's what I find confusing over the whole Holiday we go thru a month of hype and then the day comes and everything stops. I really like the Holiday season people are genrally kinder and more generous, but I don't get why that can't continue year round. Honestly anymore Christmas day isn't even what I look forward to the most, it is Christmas Eve. When I was a kid they were more equal, there was the excitement of Santa and more gifts. Growing up I think I have come to value the family time more than what I recieve. Christmas Eve is my favorite day of the year. I love piling into the family van and heading to Grandmas. I just love the atmosphere. Yes you're sitting on the floor and crammed into couches. Yes you are sitting shoulder to shoulder with people and its hot. Yes it gets so loud you can hardly hear yourself think and you stand in line for food. But I think that's what I like the best. It is one of the few places I can go and just feel surrounded by love and caring. Our family mat be big, talkative, and a little rowdy. But that's what makes it right, I would feel so out of place at a quiet dinner table. I love telling the same stories year after year and still laughing as we hear them. I love the simple entertainment we find in the gifts we recieve and the people around them. Don't get me wrong I still enjoy Christmas day I just think it's in a different way than I used to. I got lots of great gifts and things to take back to school. I enjoyed hanging out with the other side of the family and hanging out with my brothers. Somedays though I just wish the magic of Christmas didn't end and I got to spend that type of time with my family all the time.

Chicago Fun

I just got back from Chicago and it was awesome. We did too much for me to write it all in here so here are the highlights. Overall it was a great trip!

-Our train ride was fun we played Mad Gab and checked out the sites.
-We arrived at Union Station, which call me a dork, was way cool. It looks just like the movies and was really nice.
-We checked into our hotel we stayed in the Marriot on Michigan Avenue. Our room was on the 30th floor. The view was nice and so was everything in the hotel, so fancy.
-We rode the bus all over downtown we are now experienced with public transit.
-We spent a few hours in Shed's Aquarium. It was awesome we had soo much fun.
-Walked through Memorial Park at night to see it all lit up and took our pictures with all the statue/monuments...our favorite was the "bean".
-Watched the ice skaters and listened to the Rat Pack music playing.
-Ate at ESPN Zone. The atmosphere was cool and my sandwich was soo delicious.
-Walked downtown at night to see all the Christmas lights and look at the store fronts, it was soo pretty. My favorite was a nutcracker front at Macy's.
-Visited the Sears tower and looked at Chicago 103 stories off the ground almost 1500 feet. It hurt my ears but was really cool.
-Ate lunch at Ed Debivic's, a 50's restuarant where they are mean to you, it was neat.
-Shopped downtown, more like ran in and out of stores just looking at stuff, but still it was fun.
-Sat at the train station for 2 hours on delay reading magazines and playing games.
-Played with 2 little girls on the train home for entertainment and even rode to Lincoln with one of my softball teammates who happened to be heading back.

Chicago Here I Come

I ran all over town today. I started off with a trip to Hopedale to pick up some medicine from the pharmacy. Then I ventured, via Stringtown (bad choice of road), to Minier. I went to the bank to get some cash and put in my checks from school. Next I went to Grandma and Grandpa's to fill our water jugs. While I was there Grandpa aired up my tires and put some winter driving neccessities in my car, how glorious. I came home to a hyper dog and stack of presents to wrap. I wrapped away while once more watching some lovely Christmas specials. I took the dog out to play for awhile I threw her in a snow drift, she thought that was fun. For dinner tonight we had lasagna per my request and it was delicious. Watched a little "Jingle all the Way" after dinner, who knew such terrible acting could be entertaining. We found out today Brent has a stress fracture in his hip, he has an MRI Wednesday to help figure out why he got the fracture. Good luck laying still for an hour. The rest of the night has been spent packing for my Chicago adventure. Nikkie, Chelsea, Ashley and I are catching the 7 am train to Chicago tomorrow. I have never ridden a train or been downtown Chicago, so I am way excited. We are staying the night on Michigan Avenue and riding a late train back Wednesday night. Hopefully we have a lot of fun venturing out of our little farm towns. Well the train leaves awful early so I am off to bed.

Winter Wonderland

So I got up this morning to go to church. The driveway was snowed in so I instead opted for a few more hours of sleep. When I finally did roll out of bed it was just in time for some lunch and the Packers game. Brett Favre broke yet another record on his way to yet another victory, which clinched a first round bye and home field advantage. Yeah Pack! I then proceeded to spend the rest of my day sitting on my butt but throughly enjoying it. I watched some of my favorite Christmas specials, did my laundry, and played with the dog. It was a thrilling day. I forgot Youth Group had a progressive dinner tonight so I was interupted mid dinner at home with a call to join. I had had my fill of winter driving for the weekend so Brent and I agreed to go only if someone came and got us. The lucky winner was Matthew and the dinner was delicious. Ryan flew in from Florida this morning and was there as well. It was a good night hanging out with the boys, I always miss them, and I like having them both within five miles of me not on the other side of the country. After dinner we watched Evan Almighty, which always evokes a laugh from me and then we headed home. Right now I am neglecting going to sleep, I am not tired and have nothing to get up for. Well I shouldn't say nothing Mom has left a whole list of things for me to do and errands to run including wrapping presents. Oh the joys of Christmas.

Arctic Navigator

I am going to take the liberties to declare myself master of the Arctic Snow. I have successfully but slowly journied my way through the snow many a times today, such proud moments. Got up this morning to go watch Ryan play basketball. He was so excited we came, Ash and I were his fathers replacements since Tony had class today. He won his game and it was good to see him before heading home. The snow this morning wasn't too bad but the intersections were a little iffy, we survived. Grabbed some Jimmy Johns to go then came back to school for a little pre-game shoot around. We got to the game safely which was a plus. As for the game itself it wasn't too bad. We lost by eleven...which wasn't too bad considering we had 40 turnovers. Wow that's a lot, no fear I only had one and I stole it back. I made sure to call and tell Coach Thomas this since he likes to give me a hardtime about turning the ball over. I was so happy I didn't suck today, I know it's ridiculous, but it's true. I played pretty well with 6 points, and a handful of rebounds and assists. I was just glad to play. We made it back to campus safely and had one hours time to get everything together and go. I got everything packed up and Coach Wilson helped me scrape and get my car ready. It took me an hour to get home, the roads, even the highways, were terrible. But I made it, score for me. The rest of the night has been spent chilling and watching Christmas movies, so magical.

Last Night on Campus

Practice this morning was okay, not too much running not too much yelling. We basically ran drills and set ups for tomorrows game. We might not get this game in if the weather goes as predicted, might also cause some travel problems for us. I don't care I love snow, so Christmasy. After practice we all enjoyed our last cafeteria meal for a month. Pestered Coach Thomas for a little bit, he shaved off his mustache so I can't make fun of him anymore. Then Ashley and I ended up in Student Services for an hour or so sitting around talking to the office ladies and Bridgett's daughter. It was an enjoyable way to pass some time. When we left I decided it was necessary for me to take a shower...so I did. I thought about packing next, I got my extremely overflowing clothes basket to the car and called it quits. That is a lot of laundry to do at home. Instead of packing I went to visit Stoltzy. We hung out and played some Playstation and I went with him to put gas in the school cars. Then I went to the movies with Ashley and the RA staff. We went to see "I am Legend," it was confusing at first but was actually pretty cool, minus the scary infected people. We got meal money from Coach so after the movie we went to dinner at Steak N' Shake. I ran into Jay and Amber there, I know they were super excited to see me. Came back here and actually did pack. I got everything but my bedding and fridge stuff packed that will be my post game activity before I head home. I plan on spending the rest of the night in bed watching Christmas movies and getting up to go watch Ryan play ball tomorrow. Oh the excitement of my life.

Break has Begun

I had nothing scheduled to do today besides practice, whoo hoo improvising. I rolled out of bed at around 11 and headed to the lunchroom. Enjoyed an actually good meal with Levi, Stoltzy, and Ashley. After telling Levi goodbye Ashley and I went downtown so she could do some Christmas shopping at Abe's I love Abe's. We also ran out to Walmart I am not sure why. When we came back we saw Coach and Coach were here so we went to the offices to hang. We all just sat around and talked and laughed for awhile. Coach Thomas was excited that we came to see him because he couldn't come to practice tonight or the game Saturday. He is taking a six day seminar to get his masters degree. He is hating the fact that he is doing it, we think that's a pretty easy thing for a masters, no thesis or anything. Still he isn't enjoying that he has to miss six days of stuff, we told him we are proud of him and can manage a few days here and there without him. Practice was okay tonight, Coach Wilson always feels a need to yell when Tony isn't there for some reason. I was a little sore today I guess those three days off caught up with me. I did get to spend some time with Ryan again though so that was fun. After practice we ate dinner in the cafeteria, it wasn't so good this time, this is probably because we are the only ones here. This evening all seven of us sophomores hung out, I took them all in my car out to Walmart good thing the back seat is huge. We spent the rest of the night hanging out in the lobby talking to Katie and Marcus but now it is time for bed.

Final Final

Sleeping? Yeah I should be but I clearly am not. Oh well I don't have anything to get up for tomorrow. Got up and tutored this morning. We did stations my job was to teach all the kids how to make snow flakes. They got me a Christmas present and all of them made me cards, they were too cute. I was dead tired so I came back here and slept until lunch. Lunch was an adventure, you can tell they are cleaning out the food supply for break. We had many interesting mixtures. Got in some quality make fun of Coach Thomas time at lunch today, always a thrill. Sat and waited around then until my last final. Ashley and I gave a presentation on Langston Hughes "Theme for English B," good times. I wasn't bad and I am glad to be done with finals. After that it was off to practice. I thought it was going to be killer today with three days off, I wasn't too out of shape. We played a group of boys today so we could have tougher defense, it was harder, but definately more fun. My friend Levi who is a baseball player here came and played and it was very funny, we were going at it the whole time. Let's just say he should stick to baseball. Ryan came to practice today which was nice, I was missing the kid I hadn't seen him in a week. You can tell when I haven't seen him in awhile because then he follows me around and is attached to my side, good thing I love him. The night has been pretty relaxing. Just sitting around and watching Christmas shows. I ended up down in the RA's room watching "Mr & Mrs Smith" with Mary, Katie, and Marcus, the movie was decent. Now I need sleep.

Night in ATL

Oh the glouriousness of my boring day. Got up real early today and took my final, it was okay took me about 45 minutes, not too bad. I then had a whole day of nothing ahead of me. After my test I went to the Coaches offices. We had a lot of fun this morning pestering Coach Wilson, she was loving it. It also allowed me some quality make fun of Tony's mustache time, highly entertaining. I left there and still had an hour until lunch. I used that time in the library checking things on the computer and reading the paper. I found out I got a 96% on my psych final, I have no idea how I pulled that off. I really didn't think I did well. Lunch was enjoyable talking to the baseball boys and hanging out. Then I went to CVS with Ashley and back to Coach's to bother her. Then it was off to my room to be bored. I ran a few errands returned my softball uniform and school books and tried to find things to waste time. Chelsea and I decided to shoot baskets so we ended up in the gym for a good hour playing ball and talking to Trainer Joe. All my friends had either a night final tonight or headed home for break so I decided to head to Atlanta for some home cooked food and some time with the Finchum's. Kelsey met me there and we had a lovely night watching Christmas movies, playing with the girls, and pretty much just being out of control. The food was delightful greenbean casserole and homemade broccoli/cheese soup, followed up with some peppermint ice cream, mmm mmm. It was fun hanging out and talking to Jay and Amber, I hadn't been to the house in a while. I miss couches and real TV's:) Okay well my last final is tomorrow and I need rest.

Midnight Snack

I just got back from Midnight Finals Breakfast it was a gradly old time. We had some good food and had fun hanging out with the usual group and our favorite student service people. The day has been pretty boring. School where I tutor was cancelled today so I got an extra two hours of sleep it was fantastic. I then went and took my geography final, I needed 7 points to keep my A, I got 41 and only did the first page. It was strenous. I camped out in the cafeteria for awhile wasting time until my next final, psychology. Spent the rest of the time hanging out in Coach Wilson's office. We sawe Coach T briefly today, long enough to attack him with a hug and notice that he shaved off his beard and now has what we like to refer to as a Hitler porn stash. He was loving it, we were not too fond, it makes him look old and a bit creepy. Mustache's are a definate no. My psych final was ridiculous. I found myself knowing very few of the answers, frustrating. Hopefully I did well enough to keep my A that's all I care about. After the final I went to the computer lab for awhile with Casie, Chelsea, and my teamate Chiquita. I got really excited we were planning things to do on our Chicago trip. Dinner was non exciting and the rest of the night up to breakfast was spent completing my literature final presentation and watching Mary Poppins. Okay well it is midnight and Nikkie is yelling at me to go scrape ice off my car so I must be off.

Party Day

It has been a busy Sunday. I didn't go to bed until 3 last night because I thought I could just lay around and sleep all day. I was wrong. Coach Wilson called this morning to ask us to lunch at her house for Ali's 8th birthday. We of course accepted the invitation, nothing like home cooked food. Well that started the madness. We didn't have Ali's present, a scrapbook, even bought so we were on a time crunch. We had 1 1/2 hours to buy the book and get it put together, we got it done and were only a few minutes late for dinner. Hawaiian chicken and baked potatoes, it was soo good. We topped it off with some birthday cake and ice cream, perfect. We hung out at the house all day playing games with Ali. She got "Life" so we played it is very complex now, took a long time to play. Well we left Coach Wilson's house just in time for me to jump in another car and head to Crystals for our softball Christmas party. Once again I was in for some delicious food and fun. We had some delightful BLT dip and Coach Andrews even made his speciality, cheesecake. I may have had two pieces. I got to play with toys which was fun Crystal has two little boys who are handfuls. We did a white elephant gift exchange which was extremely entertaining as well. Got back from the second party in time to fill out a study guide for pysch and pick up todays scrapbooking mess, fun times. Finals start tomorrow and I have two, so I need some rest.

Weekend Wrapup

I need to go to bed, I really truly do. Yet I am not, I have not even showered yet. This weekend was an adventure. I did not play well at all in either game. I don't know why but it was like I could do nothing right. I am hoping this doesn't come back and bite me in the butt, I am really enjoying this actually getting to play thing. Other than the atrocious games I played the weekend was decent. The bus rides were fun, watching movies and chilling. Chicago pizza and Capri Sun's made a lovely dinner. The hotels were really nice. Staying with Ash, Chels, and Nikkie was enjoyable. Seeing parts of the city and getting made fun of for knowing nothing about how a city operates was informative. Spending lots of time going back and forth with Coach Thomas was a thrill as always, such a loving relationship, haha. The bus ride home was an adventure in the weather but we actually made it home without problem. The problem was getting off the bus. We couldn't make it from the bus to the gym on the ice we kept sliding backwards. Coach Thomas somehow made it halfway and from there grabbed peoples hands and pulled them to the other side. It took a good ten minutes to get everyone across. After skating back to the dorms Nikkie and I then went outside for 45 minutes to scrape all the ice off Chelsea's windows. Then we were hungry so we met Ashley and skated to the gas station and rented a movie, Fracture. It was good, a thinker. The rest of the night I was just hanging out in the lobby with Mary and some other people doing nothing. But now the weekend is catching up and I need to get some sleep.

Let it Snow!

You know what I love? Saline Nasal spray. That stuff works miracles I just took a couple shots up the nose. I know lovely picture. Classes today were nothing really we are juts reviewing and gettng things in order for finals next week, boring. Spent our free time once again hanging with Coach Thomas, he was in violent mood today and kept attacking us. Good thing I am a naturally awesome fighter. You know what else I love? Snow. We have already got a steady amount and it looks lovely. Packs nice as well. Practice was a bit of a fiasco for me today. I had softball pictures right in the middle of it so my attire was quite lovely today. Basketball jersey, black t-shirt, purple softball shorts, black softball socks, and purple shoes. I was a walking fashion statement. Tonight we once again went to Steak N' Shake. It was the regular group and we had fun as always. The snow was an added bonuse nothing like a snowball fight. Spent the rest of the night chilling inside with Nikkie and Chels, and later just me and my bed. My body was a little worn out today. This weekend will be busy. I don't have class tomorrow but we leave for Chicago tomorrow for basketball. Hopefully we have some fun and win some games.

Stupid Dec 5

This is my least favorite day of the year. It comes attatched to too much pain and baggage. Three years since Scott died, I still can't believe it. I can just remember how terrible that day and the months to follow were and I don't like it. Woke up this morning and went to tutor. I made the kids a snowflake and they were amazed I have to teach them all how to make them on Friday. I went to geography class for 5 minutes. I got my test and skipped review. I only need 7 points on the final to keep my A, so I am not worried. Spent my free time hanging in Coach Wilson's office sleeping on the floor until lunch. After a light lunch Ash and I went to visit Bridgett she is always good for a laugh. Then we went to Walmart to run some errands picking up stuff for Coach Thomas. I can't believe he trusts us with his money. Spent the afternoon resting before our game. We played Wesleyan I spent about ten minutes before we started warming up talking to their Coach, he is trying to help me get in. The game wasn't terrible but we didn't win. They were good but not good enough to beat us even though we let them. I think I had about 6 points but I played pretty much the whole game. After the game we went to the Student Center for Holiday dinner, they made us steak and shrimp and it was so good. I am very glad they saved some for us. I came back and showered then remembered I drove my car to the gym to bring Coach T his stuff so I ended up over at Ashley's for awhile since I had to walk that way anyways. I want to watch TV.

Yeah Tuesday

I got up early this morning to go lift weights in Coach Thomas' class because I missed team lifting for tutoring. I would rather sleep. We are starting finals prep in all my classes working on papers and projects and reviewing. In lit we picked partners and started preparing presentations. We got out early so we went to pester Coach Thomas. We hung out and talked for about an hour it was very infomative:) Computers was easy and we were blessed with an early dismissal as well. LUnch was quick and filled with grilled cheese. Pyschology wasn't too bad either, we spent a lot of time looking over each others photo journals and laughing at everyone's childhood pictures. We didn't even have to do much learning which is my favorite type of class. Practice had a lot of running in it today I think I counted over 25 full court sprints and they were our fault. All we had to do was have three people make two free throws in a row. I made mine, but that wasn't the trend. Dinner was delightful tonight we had turkey, like thanksgiving turkey, and all the fixings. So tasty. I finally finished my Wesleyan application tonight, I know I am very promt. I need to start applying to schools. Made more snowflakes tonight because that is my job as vice president Christmas. Then we had a winter break procedure meeting which was thrilling as always, especially since Bridgett wore her ever popular meeting outfit. Okay well I need to sleepsky I got a lot to do tomorrow.

Winter Wonderland

It is late I should be in bed...I haven't even showered yet. I tutored this morning, we read some crazy book about a rabbit who gets water in his ears and can't hear, good times. I took my last test in my geography class today some of it was confusing. Then I went to get my first tutoring paycheck, not bad. Lunch was quick and bad, minus the most heavenly chocolate swirl cheesecake. So good I had two pieces. I was cold so I came back to my room turned up the heat and read until practice. Practice wasn't bad at all today. We didn't have to run any sprints which really caught me off guard. Really all we did was half court drilling and had just a few minutes of full court scrimmage. I was a little wound up at practice so I had fun. Coach Thomas tried to measure my mouth today with a tape measure, he says there wasn't enough tape. I say he's a dork. After practice we went to dinner. I had some good beef stew stuff. Then it was off to the lab to finish my psych project, which I did with only a few distractions. My softball girls had weights tonight so I stopped by and visited on the way back to the dorm, they always enjoy my presence. We had a dorm meeting with the vice president that was thrilling. Then Nikkie and I went to Walmart and Steak N' Shake both very neccesary trips. Came back here and made more snow flakes. That is my official job. Our dorm is very Christmasy though we put up and decorated the tree tonight. It is a winter wonderland:)

Accomplished

Today I have accomplished a lot although it hasn't all been good:

1. I washed 3 loads of laundry and then proceeded to actually put it all away.
2. I also accidently washed my IPOD. It wasn't working but as of right now it is. It may have actually gotten rid of a virus it had. It's working better than prewash.
3. I wrote my geography article and finished my hurricane project, my last assignments for that class.
4. I did not finsh my pysch project that is saved for tomorrow night.
5. I deep cleaned my entire room for the first time in awhile, it is nice to see the floor and be able to sit in my chair.
6. I also cleaned the shower and entire bathroom, just call me Mrs. Clean.
7. I enjoyed a Jon & Kate Plus 8 marathon as background all afternoon.
8. I watched a Brothers & Sisters wedding so exciting.
9. I successfully navigated through the monsoon all day long.
10. I ate food because I am starving, even though I've felt like puking all day.

Ice Storm

The day started nice and latish I think I crawled out of bed about 11:00. Then we went to breakfast, we got good food because it was an open house day, got to impress the visitors. Off to the gym for our game. Almost all of our freshman and two sophomores broke curfew and came late to the gym. We got a huge pregame lecture and the kids in trouble didn't start and a few didn't even play. I just don't get how they have no idea how to follow rules. I started and played pretty well today I think I had 12 points or something. I did pretty much shank one layup though and I heard about it. Coach Thomas was mocking me from the bench and laughing. I did have to smile though it was kinda funny. We won though which is all that really mattered. After the game Nik, Ash, Chels, Percella, and I went to eat at Rusty's. We also took Ryan with us. It was an enjoyable time hanging out and eating good food. Then Ash, Ryan, and I went to Walmart to buy a new ice scraper mine shattered trying to shear off the two inches of ice on my windshield. We had fun in Walmart playing with all the toys and acting like fools. I can't believe the Thomas' trust us with their child. Came back here and went to Mary's to visit for awhile then I headed over to Ashley's to work on our pyschology project. We have to make a photo journal of our lives, I got all the pictures done now I just have to do the writing part. Nothing like waiting until the last day to do a project you've had since the first day of school:)

Look out ESPN

Got up and went tutoring today. I helped the kids write about the third day of Christmas they are writing a page for each day until the 25. All we did in my geography class was review, I was bored. Had lunch with the baseball boys, Stoltzy, and Coach T. It was enjoyable as always, but even better thanks to the tastiness of cafeteria taco dip, mmm mmm. After lunch I ordered and organized pictures for a photo journal I have to make. Then Ashley and I went to buy supplies and pick up my pictures. I came back here and chilled for the afternoon watching me some ESPN and hanging out with Chelsea and Nikkie. I got to announce the first game tonight it was exciting and I am a pro I can see myself on ESPN any day now. Our game on the other hand was not so thrilling. We lost by 30 to a mediocore team, not impressive. We were just off and they were raining threes like nothing. I started and played a lot, finishing with 4 points and a few marks in all the other categories. Coach Thomas was making me laugh in the 2nd half. I was out for awhile because we were losing by a lot so he kept giving me crap about Finchum, saying my husband was here. He is determined that we are going to get married and have a kid and name it after him. Never gonna happen. After the game we all ate pizza in the cafeteria. We sat around and talked to Bridgett, Ryan, and Mary, until our ever so early 11:00 curfew. I came back here plannning on going to my room but my friend Brittany is here from last year so I am just now getting in, oops. We were just talking in the hallway, so I'm good. I can smell myself and that's not good, shower needs me.

Maker of the Snowflakes

I took two tests today. A literature test which cramped my hand but was easy and a computers test I was not so sure about. I lost my disk with all my notes on it somehow so I had to wing it. Oh well I will survive. I found out that I got a 98% on my psych test though which is awesome. I got out of each class early today and throughly enjoyed it everytime. Spent time in Coach Wilson's office after class that is until Creepy Finchum boy showed up and we ditched her. She was not appreciative of that:) Practice tonight wasn't bad, we didn't actually run any sprints now that I think of it. That is definately a first for this year. We as the sophomores spent a lot of time laughing and just kind of messing around while our freshman kept getting yelled at for not knowing plays and screwing up. I don't know I enjoyed it, it was nice to relax and enjoy playing. Coach Thomas was back to his crazy self today giving me a hard time all practice just like usual. Weird thing is though he got sick on the exact same trip last year after eating at the exact same place, should have learned. After a light dinner I met Chels in the lab and we did homework. I successly plotted and tracked 12 hurricanes for geography class, only 2 more to go. Then we met the twins Ben, and Alex to go hang out at Steak N' Shake. We had a lot of fun like always. Came back here and decorated Christmas ornaments for a tree we are putting up in the lobby. Everyone in our entire dorm, boys and girls, had to make one it was kinda cool and very Christmasy:) We also cut out snowflakes, I made a whole blizzard. I have a crazy talent for snow flakes.Tomorrow we are hanging everything up. Well it is already past my bedtime and I have a game tomorrow, so bye.

Confused

I don't really like this day. It is sad and a little confusing at the same time. Today marks three years since I last saw Scott. Somedays that seems like forever ago sometimes it seems like a second ago. I don't get how I can't remember what happened yesterday but I can remember everything that happend on this day 3 years ago. I especially don't get this because I didn't know he was going to die how did my memory know to log all those details away. I just don't know, but I do know I miss him a lot and though it may get easier it never gets better. I made it to tutoring on time today, we read a story about a bear, bird, and tadpole, and it was kinda funny. I didn't do much in my geography class, learned about rocks how exciting. Lunch was dull and I spent the entire afternoon in my bed until the bus left. I just didn't feel like doing anything. I did talk to Kelsey on the phone for awhile though. Our game tonight was alright I guess, but we lost. We didn't play terrible but we couldn't make shots at all. I think I missed the rim completely on 3 of mine. I didn't score at all. Oh well I am over it. Dinner was an adventure Ashley and I ate with Coach Thomas and were entertained by some good stories and conversation. He was cracking me up all night long. That is until we got back here and I see him hanging his head out his truck puking. Yummy. We took care of him got him cleaned up and sent him on his way. Hopefully he made it home okay. Well I have two tests tomorrow and need my rest, so that's all folks.

It's Tuesday, Today I know that

My morning got off to a much better start today. Began with a little waffle breakfast then off to lit class for only 15 minutes that was nice. Spent my free time in Coach Thomas' class with Ashley shooting the breeze. Nothing like some good bonding. Then it was off to computers which was pretty nonplussing today. Lunch was a delightful slice of Spinach,Bacon,Chicken pizza. The cafeteria makes a mean chicken pizza. My pysch test went suprisingly well today or at least I think. I found myself knowing most of the answers and being familiar with the terms which is shocking for one of Mrs. Knopps tests. Hopefully my grade reflects this wisdom. Since I got out of class once I was done with my class I hung out and talked to Coach Wilson in my free time. After a light relaxation it was off to practice. It wasn't bad considering we play tomorrow, but we did run alot for the day before a game. My knee paid for it though it has been bothering me ever since we came back from break. Trainer Joe says I have something with a really long name, but it's like tendonitis, kinda painful. I think once my shoulder went my whole body felt like it needed to follow suit I am not appreciating it. After practice I went with Amber and the girls to Jay's game in Rochester. They lost the game but we talked life and got a lot of issues solved and confronted, which I have to say feels good. But now I must go to bed.

What day is it?

So my day got off to a rough start. I rolled over this morning to discover it was 9:00, I tutor at 8:30. I had reset my clock in pm after plugging it back in, needless to say the alarm then did not work correctly. I was really struggling this morning. I could not for the life of me decifer what day it was, what time it really was, or what classes I needed to go to. After much deliberating I decided that I had class at 10 so after calling the teacher I work for and apoligizing I plugged in my hair straightner and decided to sleep a little more, setting my phone alarm for 9:35 Next time I roll over and look at the clock it is 9:45 I apparently did not hit save on my phone alarm. I then thought I would hurry and straighten my hair and run to class. Only all I did was plug in my straightner I neglected to actually turn it on. I made it to class right on time and a little frazzled, but I made it. I went to a quick non tasty lunch. Then went to sleep until practice I was dead tired for some reason and had a slight cold from practicing in the arctic. I woke up feeling dramatically less stressed and a lot better. Practice was decent, lots of running which is always a thrill. We decided today that Coach Thomas looks like Woody off of Toy Story when he makes a certain face which to me is kinda creepy because I have a that exact look on my Toy Story poster. Dinner soon followed which was not good either then it was off to the homework races. I had a drama paper to do for tomorrow and 3 pyschology study guides to do for my test and you better believe I mastered them all, with some spare time for a Wal-Mart run. Go me!

Practicing in the Arctic

Alright here goes the weekend round up. The wedding Saturday was very nice. It was a very pretty wedding and reception. It was nice to get to hang out with some old friends and just have fun dancing and talking. Creepy Finchum boy followed me around the whole time he was there but to my pleasure he left before the dancing started, so no slow dance:)I got to spend some time with Jay, Amber, and the girls too which I enjoyed. I haven't seen them much this year and it was good to catch up. We left the reception after one we helped clean up and tear everything down it was thrilling. I got to bed sometime after 2 and woke up at 8 this morning to go to church with Matt. I was tired but it was a good service and once again great to see friends from home. I then went to Sunday school because Toby was teaching and he wanted me to. I really miss him when I am at school. I told Matt goodbye went home and ate lunch then headed back here. I actually put away everything I took home which is a first for me, it usually sits on the floor for a while. Practice was alright, the gym was freezing cold, I swear I got frost bite. The heat definately was not on, but don't worry we did plenty of running to warm up...except not even that worked. After practice I walked with the twins to Jimmy Johns for dinner, yum yum. Night entertainment consisted of Brother's & Sister's at Mary's such a joyous occasion. Well I need to go catch up on some sleep so I am outskie!

Tree Shopping

What has my day consisted of? Well let me think. Justin and Grandpa went and got my car from the Browns this morning. It apparently started without problem and I am retarded, my bad. Got up this morning to go cut down our Christmas tree. We picked the first tree...Mom made us ride the tractor around the whole farm. Wanted to give Kaho the full experience, we spent the free time making fun of Mom. Came back here and watched Home Alone, a definate classic. I also did some of my homework, the assignment that involved the least effort. Then I went to Darci's to try on some shoes for the wedding tomorrow. High heels and me could be a disaster. Sat and talked to Aunt Kathy for awhile. Ran home for dinner and then went out to watch Brent's basketball games. They won both their games it was thrilling:)A lot of kids from my class were there so it was nice to sit and talk to them. Especially Matt and Ryan, those boys crack me up and I miss them at school. They are good friends to still have around. After the game I came home and ate a pizza and it was good. Then I watched the Santa Claus 3 with Justin and Kaho I am always up for a Christmas movie. Tomorrow I have Michelle and Drew's wedding which could be very interesting, here's to hoping it's at least not too cold.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving everybody, even though I saw most of you today:) We had a good day I always love the Holidays getting to spend time with my family and just hang out is always a blessing. We did have an exciting time today though as my car broke down at the Browns and we all traveled Griswold style home in Kale's car as the entire family laughed at us from inside. As it is Thanksgiving though I think a little thankfullness is in order.

I am thankful for my family and the support we give each other.
Spending time with my cousins reliving our childhoods and laughing at each other.
My uncles who I can always count on for a big hug and to make me smile.
My aunts who are some of the strongest women I know.
The new babies in our family who melt my heart.
My brothers, whom, even though they annoy me, make my life complete.
My grandparents who support me no matter what.
My friends who take me as I am.
My Coaches who everyday try to make me the best person I can be.
College and the chance to make something of myself.
Playing sports and the outlet they bring into my life.
My church and the safe haven it is no matter what.
The people who for some reason care about me and are great examples in my life.
The fact that I always have enough food, clothes, and warmth to not need.
The chance to help others.
Hurt because it reminds us of all we've lost and that we need God.
And most of all love, because without it we are nothing and for it we are saved.

Break Time

I am tired yet I am still awake. Makes sense doesn't it. I could not get to sleep last night, I don't really know why because my body was exhausted and aching. Tutoring this morning was good I helped the kid do Thanksgiving projects and we had a lot of fun. I did nothing in Geography today just chilled. My teacher is also our basketball announcer he kept telling us how bad he felt, like it was his fault. We got a lot of that today from the teachers, I think they feel bad because they know first hand how out of control some of our kids are. Hung out in Coach Wilson's office for a little while. Coach Thomas was still down, but honestly they haven't shown much confidence in us so it is almost nice to see them so upset for us. Everyone was pretty subdued today due to the game, lack of sleep, and run down bodies. There could be some big repercussions because of what went on last night, including us not being allowed to have home games. Lunch was alright but we did have my ever favorite Chedderwurst. Then after some quick goodbyes and packing I headed to Morton. I went to see Sam, Josh, and Clay since they aren't coming to Thanksgiving. I missed them so I am glad I got to spend some of my free time with them. The rest of the night was spent with Grandma. I got my haircut, put up her Christmas tree and decorated it, took her to Pekin, did some shopping, and ate at Applebees. I must say my tree decorating skills are top nothch I am pretty much an Elf. I am staying at Grandma's tonight and am now forcing myself to go to bed. Hurray for Thanksgiving!

Idiot Crowd

I can't even remember what happened today the night has just been too frustrating and let me tell you why. We had a game tonight against the best team in our region. All week long all Coach has told us is how good they are and how we really don't stand a chance. She told us before the game that if we played 110% we could maybe stay within ten. Flash forward to the game. We played awesome, we were tied pretty much the entire game. Our defense was great and we were hitting shots. Everyone was playing really hard on the floor. We go into over time. At the end of over time we hit a last second shot off a steal to go up one. Our stupid crowd runs on the floor even though there are .7 seconds left. The crowd gets a technical and Lakeland shoots freethrows to win. We were all really upset, Coach and Coach were yelling at the crowd. Coach Thomas punched the fridge and dented it, Coach Wilson was livid. The crowd cost us a huge region upset because of their stupidity. We think we got the kids on tape so they will be kicked out of all sporting events and some might get kicked out of school. I played pretty much the whole game scored 8, had about 10 rebounds, 7 assists, and four steals. I got smoked in the right shoulder and had to come out for a few minutes because my arm went numb, it just hurts now as does the rest of my body. After some angry moping in the locker room we went to eat at the caf with Percella, Tamar, and little Tamar. Babies always make things better. Then Nikkie and I went over to Ben's to hang out and watch the Illinois game. Six a.m. practice has been cancelled what a lovely Thanksgiving gift.

Ryan's Home!

I haven't posted because the internet has been down all weekend. Saturday we had a game we lost in OT after being up 20 points at one time...it wasn't pretty. Chelsea got hurt they thought she broke her leg, the ambulence came and got her. Luckily we found out it is just really sprained. Saturday night was spent taking care of Chels and hanging out and playing SIMS, good times. Sunday was spent working for a food drive at Walmart collecting food for the local food pantry. It is part of our Honors project. We collected enough items to fill a 12 passenger van, it was cold out but it was awesome to get that much stuff. Sunday night I went home to Church to see Ryan. He had just flown in that morning. We hung out at youth group, it was nice to see the kids and Brent. Then Ryan and I hung out at Lys' with her and Ryker for awhile. It was great just being able to hang out with Ryan I missed him a lot. Today has been okay. Tutoring and class were decent nothing thrilling. Practice was crap today though just for the mere fact that Coach was flipping out about everything. I think it is good we are getting a small break from each other everyone is on edge. Tonight we went over to Ben's room to hang out, Alex and Beal came over too. It was a lot of fun minus the fact that Finchy is Ben's suitemate and invited himself over and to Steak N' Shake with us too. We could have done without that. The rest of the night was spent chilling with Mary on duty always enjoyable. It is 12:15 I still need to shower...

Friday Fun

I just got back from Atlanta it was a grand old time. I went to Jay and Amber's to help Michelle with some wedding stuff. We made 420 name charms for toast glasses. I went to see Paige she broke her elbow this week and is in a bright pink cast from shoulder to fingers. It should look lovely with her flower girl dress next weekend. The day was alright. Tutoring was good this morning, we played a word match game it was fun. I took another test in Geography this morning I was done in ten minutes, it was a struggle. Then I went and hung out in Coach T's office we popped all his birthday balloons and threw them away, they've only been in there for a month. I visited Student Services afterword to see my favorite ladies got some nice hugs. I went to the lunch room then for two hours, I enjoyed some light conversation with my beloved Stoltzy, Coach T and the baseball boys. I then had a nice afternoon rest before practice. Practice was alright I guess, Coach has just been bugging me all week she has been riding me about nothing and it's just getting frustrating. At least I had Tony there to make me smile sometimes. Dinner was good, I had some roast beef and ketchup tasty. Then it was off to ATL. Now it is off to bed for my 10:00 am. bus.

On the Go

Crackers with PB & J are yumalicious, the perfect after swimming snack. I had a pretty on the go day. Started off with some class, how I love class. I was a little hyper all day. We finished reading a play, it was actually enjoyalbel Tennessee Williams, I even read some out loud in class. We got out early so Ashley and I went to visit Coach T for some nice morning conversation and laughter. Too much fun. Computers class didn't last long and I payed attention for none of it, oh the model student I am. The teacher asked us if we had had a lot of sugar, the answer was definately yes. Lunch was quick and uneventful two grilled cheeses and out. Another great psychology day class was cancelled so GLORIOUS! Spent my free time turning in my time sheets and running errands, and visiting Mr. Grunder to beg him to announce our basketball games. Then we went to chill in Coach T's office for awhile, he throughly enjoys our company no matter what he says. Practice was meh, I keep getting put on the bad team in scrimmage which is frustrating but I am trying. We ran a lot once again for stupid freshman decisions of the court. They are killing me. Then Chelsea and I went to the Rec with Coach Wilson to help put on a basketball clinic for grade school girls. It was a lot of fun playing with and teaching the kids. Came back here to a nice suprise, Percella and her son were here. He is soooo cute we were eating him up. I decided to go swimming with the softball team tonight which was delightful but I am kinda tired now, this could be a good thing maybe I'll get some sleep.

No School!

I messed up my computer some how it is going psycho. Even though I had no class today I still had to get up at 8 to go tutor. The kids were a little crazy but we made it through. I came back and took a quick rest before practice at 11:30. Practice was okay I just haven't been feeling it this week, it feels like we are playing in slow motion. Don't worry we still got plenty of running in. When practice got out the caf was closed so we went to Steak 'N' Shake for lunch, mmmsies. We then proceeded to go to the laudromat, first time ever. Ashley had a lot of blankets to wash so apparently this was easier and since none of us can go any where alone all five of us went. We hung out and made signs for our Honor's Project food drive on Sunday. Came back here and ended up in Student Services for a while talking to our favorite people and playing with Coach Thomas' little grandson. It was fancy Thanksgiving dinner night in the cafeteria it was pretty yummy. Ashley and I went on a dinner date with Coach Thomas and Ryan because they asked us too. I love them and it was an entertaining meal, I laughed so hard I was crying. After a quick shower we all went to watch the boys basketball game, it was packed. Alex and our friend Beal from LincolnLand came to watch with us. We won the game by alot and then went to Taco/Chicken to chill for awhile. That is the events of my day, the end.

Movie Night

I have come to the conclusion that I eat entirely too much. I always have to have something in my mouth and if I don't I chew my nails. I have issues:) Had an alright day today. Started off the morning with a visit to Coach Thomas it was neccessary I hadn't seen him in three days. We enjoyed some good story time. Classes weren't too bad today either. We read the "Glass Menagerie" in Lit I kinda like it. Only had a few projects in Computers class. Lunch was nasty and the normal crew wasn't there. Pysch was even good today we didn't take any notes it was all discussion and we got out early, awesome. Practice was okay. We didn't touch a ball the whole time, we just ran, jumped rope, did lane slides, and leg lifts. Still it only last one hour so it wasn't bad. After practice we hung out in the locker room for a while bonding with the freshman then we ate dinner with them. We are trying to get closer I can't help but think that will help us on the floor as well. Then Kelsey came down and we went to BYOB at the movies. We saw Fred Claus, it was no Elf but it was still good and the popcorn...magnificent. When the movie got over we just hung out and ate some pomegrante delightful. No class tomorrow funny thing is I have more to do on my off day than I would a day at class.

Late Start

This is probably going to be unorganized so prepare yourselves. My alarm did not go off this morning, great start. I woke up ten minutes after I usually leave for tutoring, I was in a hurry and running behind. Luckily I can operate under pressure I was less then five minutes late and no one noticed. My class today was review, no sweat. Went to lunch in a monsoon it POURED here today my pants were soaked through. Lunch was cold but fun my usuall crew was back for entertainment. Practice today was a joke. Coach Wilson couldn't talk over a squeak and Coach Thomas was home with Ryan who was sick. Our freshman thought that just because Coach couldn't yell we didn't have to work hard...wrong. We will definately pay for it tomorrow. Two of my teamates got into a fight partly words partly physical. It was a frustrating waste of two hours. Spent some time in the library tonight just because my friends went, I sat and messaged some friends on the computer and I read my play for class. Ash and I called Coach T we figured we ought to bounce our days off each other because he got so worked up when we didn't last time. Hopefully he'll be back tomorrow, he puts some laughter into any day. Hung out with Mary tonight don't worry she loves our company:)

Lovely Sundays

My day has been pretty....well nothing...and that is exactly the beauty of it. I think I rolled out of bed around 11:30 today maybe because I didn't go to bed until after 2 but hey what can you do. Went to lunch with Ashley it was the first time she has been out of the dorm to eat in about a week. We are making big steps back into the healthy world:) Lunch was alright, I downed me some pancakes. Then we went to Walmart where I proceeded to purchase myself four more pomegrantes, I cannot fight my temptation they are too good. Came back a few minutes into the Packers game of which they were leading. The Pack then continued on to destroy the Vikings by way of some glorious play by Brett Favre. Ah the beauty of yet another 300 yard game and a lovely 8-1 record. Did some laundry in between there stupid dryers I used didn't work so I had to pay double to get my clothes dry, ugh. Still had some time before dinner so I made the lovely slide writing thing you shall enjoy below. Dinner was nast, I had a brat but I think it was old. Sat with my friend Kyle, yet another baseball player, and enjoyed his company. I am liking hanging out with those guys this year it is nice having new friends. Tonight was spent at Ashley's dorm while she was on duty watching the ever engrossing Brothers & Sisters, this weeks episode was especially dramatic and especially entertaining. You know what I really need to do? Shower...she gone.

Two in a Row

It's one in the morning I am still up. My sleep patterns need some work. Our game today went well we won again but only by 8 this time. Still a win is a win anyway around it. I started and played a lot. I even had to be the point guard for awhile. I did well handling the ball and only had one turnover the entire game. I ended up with four points and a handful of steals, rebounds, and assists. I was feeling defense today. Our scorekeeper who happens to be my geography teacher was giving me crap before the game. He says I must like pain because I am always on the ground and diving head first after the ball. I have fun doing it, my body pays for it later though. I am pretty sore tonight. The night was spent chilling. One of my teamates from last year, Kellie, came over and so did one of our friends from Lincoln Lands team. We hung out in my room being dumb and watching Love & Basketball good times. We ate my second pomegrante it was delicious. Then I had Nikkie take me to Jimmy John's for some lovely late night dinner. Oh slim 5's are sooo delightful. The rest of the night I have spent relaxing watching a little Remember the Titans and talking to people on the phone. I know the joys of my life. The funny thing is I spent an hour and a half on the phone with Ashley who just lives across the street, we are dorks. Maybe if she wasn't infected with sick germs I would visit in person. No practice tomorrow, hopefully it's a non strenous day.

We Win

Got up this morning to go to class for all of 10 minutes. I had to take a quiz an open notes one at that talk about a waste of my time. I spent most of the morning in Coach Wilson's office watching Ali while Coach was in class. Oh the joys of beating a 7 year old in tic-tac-toe. Lunch was uneventful today I didn't get to eat until late so I missed my normal crowd. The afternoon was spent hanging out with Nikkie and Chelsea. We went to Walmart and then hung out at Chels house making a warm up CD for our game. We actually won our game, not just won but really won a 40 point victory. I think we scored more tonight than we did in our first three games. It feels good to finally get into the winners column. Coach T was telling me today that we aren't the worst team in the nation some team lost a game 104-13 and I think a win tonight moved us out of the bottom ten at least:) I started and played decent once again bringing in more rebounds and assists than points, but whatever works. We play again tomorrow lets see if we can make it 2 in row. After the game we had pizza in the cafeteria it wasn't good but I had fun haning with the team. Then I went and played in the student center with Ryan for awhile, I kicked his butt in shootout. I know another victory over a small child, I am soo awesome. Came back here and hung out with Mary for the rest of the night, she cracks me up. I even made a turkey for one of our bulletin boards...I know my talents are endless. By the way I got your card today Aunt Lynn Thank you!

Pomegrante Power

I need to go to bed but I am not, I procrastinate everything. Classes today weren't too bad. I got out of Lit early so I went and lifted in Coach T's class so I don't have to get up early tomorrow and lift. Smart thinking on my part, I am lucky that guy loves me:) I took a test in computers I was a little confused, hopefully not too confused. I got out early in that too which allowed me a nice leisurely lunch with the baseball coaching staff, interesting. Pyschology class resumed today and it was terrible as always, good times. Practice wasn't too bad tonight, but we still did a lot of running for the day before a game. Coach Thomas has found this tackling dummy thing and he brings it up to practice and beats us with it the whole time. He is enjoying that a little too much, but I guess it will make us better. After practice I ate dinner with the Freshman, I like them off the court they are funny girls. A quick shower after dinner and then it was off to Coach Wilson's house with Chelsea. We watched Ali tonight while Coach was at confrences. We had a lot of fun eating Halloween candy, playing Spongebob Life, and laughing with Ali. The confrence took about 45 minutes we stayed for 2 hours, once they let us in the house we never leave. We did steal a penguin statue out of Coaches yard though and are holding it ransom, well we will be when she finds out we took it, haha. Came back here and gutted my first pomegrante, it was quite the ordeal a couple kids came up to watch. No one knows what they are so my friends were all trying it. It was amazingly tastfully awesome. First home game tomorrow maybe we could win for once, I am not holding my breath. And now it is time for bed.

Good Friends

I got to learn about bats this morning wtih 2nd graders. It was interesting, I really love my tutoring job. The best part is I even get paid to do it. I kinda had a bad morning, I had a lot on my mind and was still just feeling a little run over. Geography class drug on but I got over it. I used my lunch hour to release my inner crap. It got me all upset but I felt better after I did it. When all my friends left Coach Thomas came over and sat with me, he didn't say anything he just sat with me and ate his lunch. I don't know why but it made me feel better having him there. When he left he told me to cheer up and stop looking so sad because we are going to be alright and life is good. He is right and a good friend. After lunch I came to my room and sat by myself for two hours doing nothing, no tv, no music, nothing. I just sat in my bed and thought things through and let stuff go. It was really helpful, Coach Wilson is always telling me to do that and today I actually did. She was also right, good thing I have Coaches who care. Practice tonight was alright but kinda hard. We did a lot of running, that always sucks, but I guess it only helps in the long run. Everything was full court and tiring but I feel good after a hard workout. When practice got over I went and got Ashley some food and drinks from the cafteria, she has the flu so I have to pick up stuff for her. I then dropped it off, from outside the room I was not entering her germ imporiam. Then I went to dinner with Chelsea at Rusty's it was a delightful dinner date:) Mom came down tonight as well we ran through Walmart and got some stuff, most importantly POMEGRANTE'S which are finally in season. I cannot wait to eat mine. The rest of the night has been spent cleaning my room, putting up laundry, and doing homework...joy joy!

300!

Right now I am a little I don't know...angry, frustrated, confused, and stressed. Not going to write about it on here but it just sucks. By the way this is post 300, crazy. Onto a non-overwhelming story, my day. I didn't have anything to do this morning before class so for the first time in months I actually got ready. My morning class was okay we are doing drama now so we are reading and interpreting plays which can be interesting. Computers was pretty non demanding as well so I enjoyed that. The greatest gift of the semester occured today, my psych class was cancelled. I can't even begin to describe how happy that made me. In my spare time I hung out in Coach Wilson's office with the teamates. I am sure everyone who has an office in her hallway loves us, haha. Then I went with Coach and Chels to shoot in the gym. I ended up shooting then doing drills and running for 15 minutes with 2 of our girls who had makeup practices. We didn't have practice today, it was nice to be off, but I think that will make tomorrow even worse. I chilled in my room and watched Cash Cab until dinner I learned a lot:) Coach Thomas called me at dinner he hadn't seen or talked to me all day and was apparently missing me. He was a little distressed without hearing my voice all day I guess. I love him. After dinner I went to Ash's room for a while and hung out she has been sick so I dropped off her work and filled her in on the day, always exciting. Tonight Nikkie and I got hungry so we went to Walmart for food. Good news that just came in. My teammate Percella had her baby around 9:30 tonight after about 26 hours of labor. She had a little boy, Tamar Jr., c-section but both are doing good. We are glad he is finally here. Okay well I need to do some homework.

Hyper DAy

Oh the adventures of my day. Tutoring went well this morning I just like spending the time in the classroom the kids brighten my day. My class of the day was class, the teacher has found out after recent tests that I don't really read the questions. I miss at least one a test because I just write down anwswers...oops. Then I went to lunch, for two hours:) I enjoy cafeteria conversation we have a good time, hanging out. In the two hours I was there I talked to Stoltzy, Coach T, the entire baseball team, and the student services ladies it was grandly. Came back and took a nice relaxation before the bus left. Our bus ride there was a funny one Chels, Nik, Ash, Cas, and I were all a little hyper and were laughing really hard the whole time. I don't know why but we were a bit rambunctous. Onto our game, oh our game. I started again but didn't play too overwhelmingly well tonight...no one did. We lost to a team by 2o that wasn't even good. It was frustrating but I just keep hoping it will get better. We got Taco Bell for dinner it was awesome ohh I love me some Chalupee's as Grandma would say:) Can I just take a moment to tell you how out of control Coach Thomas was tonight. Oh my goodness. He made fun of me all night long, let me correct that, all day long. He called Finchy twice on the way home to give me a hard time to the point where Finchy met us at the gym when we got back. The man is crazy I did have him a little worried though at one point because I asked him why he didn't like me. So for the rest of the night whenever he made a crack about me he'd smile and say I love you. He's ridiculous. When we got back I ran with Ash to Walmart to get some medicine cause she's sick...now I am sitting here neglecting the shower. I must give in.

Time changes are confusing, it's thrown my whole day off. After a not good brunchel Ashley the twins and I came back to my room to hang out. We had rented We Are Marshall and were going to watch it. Well I forgot that my Packers were on so after realigning my priorites I ended up skipping the movie which they watched in my room and watched Brett Favre go to work in the twins room. I had already seen the movie so I missed nothing and gained a glorious second half comeback by the ever awesome 7-1 Packers. Go Pack Go. The rest of the afternoon I cleaned my room up, by the end of the week it is a pigsty. I also had to do my laudry three loads in just one week, I am out of control. Practice tonight was pretty non strenous and I was loving it. We did a lot of shooting drills and ran through offenses. Coach put stats up on the locker room board and I led in three of four categories, rebounds, shooting percentage, and assists. I was only lacking in turnovers, but that will improve. Still I was suprised to be leading anything, it felt nice. We had fun joking and just enjoying playing ball. We had lifting after practice and once it was over I had to run to my room and eat real quick before the ever awesome Brothers & Sisters came on. This leads me to an always favorite Finchy story. Ashley was on duty so we watched it in the lobby, he randomly came over. He sat on the edge of my chair the entire show and kept moving closer and closer to me, Ashley said he kept putting his arm behind me on the chair. He walked me back to my dorm and asked me if we could sit together at Michelle and Drew's wedding I told him I have a lot of friends from home coming and would sit with them. I just don't know when he'll stop trying, I am waiting. We play in Kewannee tomorrow so I need to get some sleep.

Roadtrip Return

Our first overnighter was a lot of fun but in a basketball sense not real successful. The ride down was a long one, we watched movies, colored, and played with the kids. Our first game was not pretty at all we lost 92-50 and that was with a decent second half, I can't even begin to describe the ugliness of the first half. I started and played quite a bit but didn't do overwhelmingly well, 4 points, a few assists, and five or so rebouds. The night back at the hotel was fun. We ordered pizza hut and hung out in the lobby. Chels, Nik, Cas, Ash, Carla and I got conjoining rooms and had a good time. Woke up in the morning to watch the kids swim and eat some breakfast. Then spent some time watching ESPN with Coach Thomas. We checked out about 12 and didn't leave until 1 we and the lobby were good friends. Our second game of the weekend was an improvement which at this point is all we could ask for. We played a lot better and only lost by fifteen. I actually played pretty well and almost all of the game, scored only 4 points again but accounted for most of our assists and a lot of rebounds. I also ripped off half my big toenail, got smoked in the shin, and just over all got a little beat up. But improvement is good. We ate at Subway afterword which was good. Coach Thomas was going at me again, we were going back and forth between tables and he was making fun of me, these people kept staring at him like he was some big jerk. We then had to explain to them that it was okay that's just how we are, it's a weird relationship but it works. He was all over me all weekend first thing in the morning to last thing at night. The team decided they like this though when he bothers me all the time he leaves them alone. I could care less I love the guy anyway around it. I was the child wrangler the whole way home two kids on my lap for three hours, kids are funny. We got back here and were starving so we hit up some Taco/Chicken to eat while we watched Reign Over Me. Good movie but really sad, still decent flick decent weekend.

Pre-overnighter baby

I am attempting to go over my notes for a geography test tomorrow...it is not working so well. My friends and Fresh Prince are distracting. Morning practice was non challenging just run throughs, breakfast was non good, and class was non interesting. I did get out 20 minutes early from psych though which was the most amazing gift ever. Coach Thomas was driving me nuts all day long. Everytime I would walk by he would ask me if I knew the plays yet. We were fighting about the difference between knowing and remembering something. At practice everytime I would do something right or wrong he was riding me. I then engaged in a highly entertaing back and forth dialog for about an hour with him during practice. Even when he's dumb he makes me smile. Practice was decent, our freshman are still struggling with the concept we like to call team, but hopefully this weekend will cause some progress. Ali and Ryan were pretty funny, they were loving us for some reason. I must have got 100 hugs today. They are so excited to go on the basketball trip tomorrow. I ate dinner with our freshman, I like them I just wish they could see what we see on the court. Then I came back here and chilled for a while accomplishing a lot of nothing and loving it. I walked to Jimmy John's with the twins when they got out of class and hung out. Softball was swimming too so I made a grand appearance there to see teamates:) We leave for a weekend trip to Freeport and Dixon. I love overnights so hopefully this turns out to be a fun weekend. I will be back Saturday night with an update.

Oh Halloween

Halloween...who cares?? Tutoring this morning went well, I got to play spelling hangman with the kids, they are pretty cute. My class of the day was non-interesting (better than boring right). Lunch was an adventure between Coach T, Stoltzy, and Finchy there was lots of laughter. Went and lifted weights I can feel my muscles bulging already. Spent some time in Coach Wilson's office she brought in bat cookies she had made for Ali's class. She was real proud of her decorating we decided. Came to my room did my homework always thrilling. Took a light napsky. Went to the lad printed out my finished homework and responded to some emails since it doesn't work in my room. Went to practice. Could not for the life of me remember a play from last year. I got frustrated because I knew I knew it but just couldn't get it. I sat out and watched and still couldn't remember. Coach Thomas was making so much fun of me telling me for once in my life I was wrong and telling me to worry that I would get a B in basketball. I just couldn't get it and he was not helping. We finally split and ran it without defense Coach Thomas then felt bad for making fun of me so much. I could tell cause he was trying to be all sweet. No fears though when I ran it through without defensed it clicked and I remembered. Ali and Ryan had on their costumes tonight they are cute kids. Ali was a doctor and Ryan was a pirate, nice. Then I went to Coach Andrews house for a pizza party. We ate played fun games and handed out candy to the trick-or-treaters. I enjoyed it. Came back here and went grocery shopping. Halloween here can get out of control so we were very low key tonight. Safety first:)

Brett Favre How I Love Thee

Can we all just take a moment a reflect upon how great Brett Favre is?

Thank you that was magical wasn't it. Okay so that game last night awesome and that overtime pass phenomenal. Plus all the clip show before the game by his wife, beautiful. Sorry I am just reveling in all the Packer glory cause yeah baby 6-1. Moving on. Finished watching Hamlet in Lit class today it wasn't too bad, now I have to write a paper on it, dull. Created a database from scratch today for my computers class, sometimes that can get confusing. I didn't get lunch today but I did grab a grilled cheese from the snack bar to eat during psych and I was psyched that I kept it down. I feel a lot better today and didn't puke at all hurray!! Boring+stupid=psychology. After class I chilled in Coach Wilson's office for a little bit we were enjoying giving her a hard time today, sometimes you just can't resist. She earned it too she got a play poster with Creepy Finchy on it and had him sign it to give to me. It was ridiculos I hung it up in the lockerroom for everyone to enjoy. We had pictures tonight before we left for MacMurray. It was exciting that I didn't have a boot to hide in this years picture. Our games tonight were okay not our best but not terrible. We don't know who won we didn't keep score because D3 schools can't apparently. We went to McDonald's after not exactly what you want to eat after three days of being sick, but right now we are doing well. Coach Thomas once again asked a McDonalds worker out for me, oh what would I do without him:) I told him he could come to our wedding. Ryan was pretty much attached to my hip all night, I don't mind though I love that kid, even if he is all but sleeping in my lap. I need to attempt to do some homework real quick like before bed.

Sickly

Okay so I feel like crap. I was up all last night throwing up. I can't keep anything down. I think I ate something bad at the bondfire this weekend. I don't know but it is killing me now. I went to tutoring this morning and made it through. I had to stop by Walmart on the way home to pick up some Pepto. I had it in my bag and was taking shots out of it all day. Coach Wilson thought it was digusting I thought it was helpful...I only puked once. I made it through my class of the day then went to the caf. The blood drive was today those always creep me out, I hate things touching the insidese of my elbows. For lunch I had five glasses of Sprite, fulfilling. I then sat and talked to the baseball boys discussing football. Ashley and I had to lift after lunch since we missed it this morning. After that I came back to my room and slept for two hours. It was neccesarry. I woke up in time for practice. I barely made it, apparently I looked really pale. All I know is that I was sweating profusely, dizzy, fighting back vomit, and my hands and feet were tingly. But I made it and that is victory. Everytime I would come out Coach Thomas would ask me if I was okay I was kind of in a daze. Ryan is still mad at me for not babysitting so I told him he could sit with me on the bus and I would play with him tomorrow, we have a scrimmage at MacMurray. The night has been spent chilling in my bed trying to get some rest. Me, my bed, and Monday Night Football had a date tonight. Go Pack Go!

Fall Fun

This should be quick my lack of sleep this weekend is catching up with me and I am beat. We got lost on the way to Auburn last night ended up taking a nice detour to New Berlin, nice town:) Well we got there eventually and it was a lot of fun dressing up hanging out and downing food. Maybe too much good food we have all felt pretty sick all day, hopefully it goes away by tomorrow. We woke up this morning and st around watching Matlida and just chilling in the twins living room. It was nice and relaxing we miss living rooms and couches. We got back to school around three. I spent the afternoon cleaning my room, vacuuming, and doing laundry it was a grand time. I also had to squeeze a nap in there, I slept through dinner, oh well I am worn out. Luckily we didn't have practice tonight, Coach decided we needed a day off and cancelled it. What a glorious gift. She forgot to call Coach T though so he called me tonight asking if we had practice, oops! Tonight was spent putting away clothes and watching the ever wonderful Brothers and Sisters, oh the drama. I have tutoring againg tomorrow so to bed I said.

Old People Central

Okay I am blogging right now cause I won't be here tonight. Welcome to yet another busy day, who's complaining though I like it. Got woke up this morning by a Coach Thomas phone call asking if I could watch Ryan tonight. Well I already have had plans for a month so I had to turn him down, which I feel really bad doing, even though he understood. I just hate not being able to help them out the one time they ask when they help me out everyday. Ryan is mad at me too he wanted me to come over and play so I promised I would another day. It is parents weekend here the place is swarming with families. This means good food though so hurray. Ash, Chels, Nik and I all went to brunch this morning....Finchy and his parents sat with us, such fun. Then we scrimmaged the alumni in a basketball game. It was crazy most of those girls still play they graduated from Lincoln five years ago or less. We dominated the first half but some how in the second they caught up and gave us a run for our money, no worries we won. I am sore now though they were beating us up, I got gut checked into the stage on a layup and it hurt. Still it was a lot of fun for everyone. Game days always make Coach Thomas into a nice guy it's crazy, he was giving me crap though cause Finchy was our ref. That special gift was from Coach Wilson those 2 drive me crazy. Then Mom and I went to a Scholarship Reception it was boring but I did meet and thank a lady that gave me some money so that was nice. Now I am all dressed up in an 80's workout outfit to go to a Halloween Bondfire wat the twins it should be a fun night!

Busy Bee

It is 2:30 in the morning and you guessed it I am still awake. It has been a pretty jam packed day. I tutored again this morning. I am a second grade tutor for one of Coach Wilson's former players. So far I have really enjoyed it. This morning all the kids read to me then I helped them type spelling sentances. When I got back I had to take a geography test I know I missed at least four points because I realized once I turned my test in I had answered a question wrong...oh well. Had a lovely lunch with the baseball boys, Stoltzy, and Coach T, always a pleasure. Then I worked for the blood drive for an hour. I just had to get people to sign up it was pretty thrilling. After that I had a counselors meeting to help me fill out an online application to Wesleyan that I had been having trouble with. I was a little ADD and it took me awhile but we got all of it done but the essay, I need to work on that. Then I went to practice everyone was on time which was nice but we were all a little slow today the wear of yesterday showed a bit. My shorts are too big and we were jump roping well I always feel them slide down a little when we do extensive jumping but it isn't too big a deal they stay up. Well today they didn't, my shorts fell down right in the middle of jumping, but no fear I had on spandex. Running from practice to dinner Casie, Chels, Ash and I went to Chopsticks to eat with Mary. It was a lot of fun especially since Mary is BFF with a chinese lady there funny stuff. I then flew from dinner to watch the play with the Thomas family. Coach T called and told me he saved me and my friend seats....right in the front. He thought it was hilarious cause creepy Finchy kid looked up at me a few times. Oh well the play Of Mice and Men was actually very good. Tonight we helped chaperone a middle school lock in at a local church. We got to play lots of games and be 12 years old again we had a lot of fun. Now I need to attempt to sleep.

Happy Tuesday!

Hmmm let's see. I got up for weights this morning and I pumped Fe (this is tricky I know). Four girls were late without reason, sweet. In literature class we started watching Hamlet, the one with Mel Gibson, it's alright but I was zoning a bit this am. I took a test in computers, which means I got out extra early, I don't think it was too hard hopefully my grade reflects that. In my spare time I ate lunch then went and sat in the weight room with Coach Wilson and Chelsea while she lifted. I got a package today, my first ever, it was SO exciting. It is from Kelsi Logsdon and was full of all our favorite snack foods for my birthday, delicious! Psychology sucked like always though we did get released 10 minutes early. Practice today....well....Coach Thomas was the only one there the first half and hour which is always an adventure. He gets a bit power trippish in charge but we love him anyways. Girls were late again he got mad and we ran sprints for 10 minutes while he lectured. He had a good point. Then we did something called long layups well it is basically a drill where you dribble full court and then have four different shots to take. In all we took 32 shots a piece and collectively ran sprints for every single shot our entire team missed. Lets just say we ran some more. It is a little frustrating for us sophomres though when we continually get punished for our freshman slacking off. Still we understand they mean well and are just proving points, I think what happend today was a very good thing. I wish Coach T would speak up more often, he usually has good things to say when he is being serious. They loved our random Tuesday gifts by the way. Tonight I had planned on writting my lit paper instead I went to volleyball game with my friends, played with Ryan, went to Walmart, and sat downstairs and talked to Mary who is now an Adult RA but used to play basketball here for Coach Wilson. We frequently talk and swap stories about basketball it's kinda funny. I did get my intro for my paper done though, so yeah me!

Wet Pants

Dang people don't take their laundry out of the dryer. I had to do laundry tonight to prevent a naked Tuesday, I was fresh outta pants. Well all the dryers were full and I waited and waited and finally one opened, only I needed two. I shoved all my clothes into one and they didn't fully dry, now they are laying out all over my room to finish drying. Hopefully this happens only thing worse than no pants is wet pants. I didn't sleep too well last night so after weights this morning I came back and took a nap before class. I took a test in my class of the day it was easy. Lunch was enjoyable, once again we had a baseball boy-basketball girl lunch with Stoltzy it was fun. Then Ash and I ran to Walmart, I needed some things and wanted to buy some stuff for myself. Well I happend to come across Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and you better believe I snatched it up, I love that movie. The afternoon was spent in my bed not sleeping, no TV, just relaxing, my body needed it. Practice today was alright, more running and a few more people came today. I think a girl quit though. I was practicing full court and trainer Joe came up he was mad at me and made me sit out. He stayed upstairs the rest of practice to make sure I didn't go back in. He told me no sprinting I wasn't sprinting it was clearly a light jog, but whatever I just want this dumb pain to go away. Had dinner with the freshman players tonight and I enjoyed it they are funny girls, just make stupid decisions alot. The rest of the night was spent making random gifts for Coaches with Casie. They are Tuesday presents and for absolutely no reason, but that's how we roll. Maybe I should have done homework....oh well.

Cause It's My Birfday

Cause it's my birfday! That is what we have been saying all day long and I personally find it funny. Didn't accomplish much this morning, just cleaned up. This afternoon Jessie and Kelsey came down and met me and my other friends for lunch at Rusty's. Chels, Casie, and Nikkie came with us it was a lot of fun. We brought my funfetti cake with us to eat and it was yum. They got me the coolest most random stuff ever. I got a really cool basketball bank thingy, a pirate poster, silly putty and string, funny glasses, a bling ring, and a bunch of other stuff. Pretty much things I would enjoy and everyone else would think is dumb, but I love them. After we got back from eating Carla came over to see me, she bought me a basketball hoop for the back of my door it is awesome, and a growing snake. Everyone left around five and then I had practice at six. Ashley was back from her soccer game by then so I got to see her she brought me a banana and some fancy socks, they are sweet. Ali even got me a card, what can I say the children love me. This is the first birthday I can ever remember actually getting stuff for, I got a lot of cards which I love more than the stuff, they are hanging on my wall. Practice was really good tonight I thought. We only had nine players show up, two are hurt, one didn't come for no reason, and one got kicked out of practice and now off the team. Everyone was actually practicing hard, we ran a bunch of half court things and didn't even have to run sprints, yet I was more tired than running makes me. It was all I could do to focus tonight though when Coach Thomas was on the floor. He had on the most ridiculous clothes, which he apparently thought looked good and we were all busting up. He had on some purple cut sweatshirt which looked like he borrowed it from an 80's work out girl with a v-neck t-shirt under it, it was too much chest for our liking. He also had purple shorts that were kinda short and when he was doing defense stuff we were dying cause we were either seeing his gut, his chest or too much of his leg. He kept offering me the balloons from his office for my birthday, dork. Then tonight I got mad but no worries we solved it with a Burger King Icee and some Brothers and Sisters. It's been a long day and bed is calling.

Rockin with Toby

I just got back from the Toby Mac concert and it was awesome. They were opened up for by Thousand Foot Crutch, who I like but did not sound too good live. I think that their bass was up to high you couldn't hear their singing at all. Barlow Girl also opened for them, they are an all girl group and were pretty good. I especially liked their drummer she was rocking out. The best part though was definately Toby Mac. His show had breakdancers, beatboxers, a dj with turn tables, rappers, trumpets, a little bit of everything. It was fun to watch and Toby Mac sounds just as good live as he does on the radio. It was really cool watching them on stage and watching our kids they were really getting into it. It was definately a night well spent. My day though started with a deep cleaning of my room. I finally put up my laundry from fall break, I was a little behind to say the least. No fears though we are all clean now, at least for today. Then I went out to watch our boys play soccer for awhile. I sat with Ashley, Coach T, and Coach Andrews it was some lovely conversation. Then I went with Mom and Brent to get a new cell phone. No one will ever guess what I got. A PINK razor, yeah that's right me and pink, hey it happens. We went to Grandma Poorbaughs for a little bit then before Brent and I came back and got ready for the concert. Mom did make me a funfetti cake though to bring back, it looks delightful. Alyssa got me an awesome Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends T-shirt, I can't wait to wear it. Also I got my birthday cards from Kathy and Ron and Grandma Poorbaugh in the mail, thank you very much! Tomorrow is birthday hopefully it's a good day.

Tripods are Necessary

Ahh so about my day. This morning we had shooting practice. It was pretty mild but I enjoyed it, some parts of my teamates are starting to grow on me. After we were done we went to breakfast, I had like my 50th bowl of Special K with berries on the week. I just tried it this week and it is sooo good, I am addicted. Then I went and slept in a chair in Coach Thomas office, it was a grand time. Funny thing though he came early this morning so he could unwrap the rest of his tinfoil and pick up all the balloons. No worries our signs and streamers are still up. Class was next, I drew pictures instead of listening, my bad. Some of the afternoon was spent with Coach Wilson trying to figure out how to register for the stupid basic skills test I need to take to get into a teacher education program. I think we finally decided to apply for a mail in one because online registration sucks. In the afternoon I got a pleasant suprise, Jay and the girls were in town and came to see me. I haven't seen them in a long time, so it was great to talk to them even if it was just for a little bit before my bus left. We scrimmage in Champaign tonight against some confrence teams. I didn't dress, Coach wouldn't let me. Instead I videotapped with a 50 pound camera I swear is from like 1945. We didn't have a tripod and it hurt my shoulder. I sat way up high in the bleachers with Ali and Ryan, they were a little attached to me tonight. I couldn't go anywhere without them. Bad news though we think our best freshman who was a good point guard tore her ACL in the first game. We ate dinner at Fazoli's it was delightful, and Coach Thomas was cracking me up. Once we got back here all I have done is talked to the twins for a while now I am tired and need restsky.

Stupid Leg

Man Thursdays just kick my butt. Weight lifting was grand this morning the crazy cleaning lady kept following me around telling me dumb things. Classes were exceptionally boring today, I feel like I accomplished nothing in them. I was supposed to start a paper in Lit I drew with my highlighter. I got out of computers early again so getting to eat lunch was a blessing. Pyschology, yeah let's not even go there I think I have established that that class is idiotic. After classes I had to go to some transefer fair thingy. There weren't really any schools there I was interested in but I got some flyers just to make Coach happy. Coach found out I hurt my leg today. I am really frustrated with it, I don't understand why I keep pulling my muscles, I have never done it before. I just want to play and in the back of my mind I feel like sitting out however little it may be just pushes me back. I don't want this year to be like last year, but I have to follow her rules. Coach Thomas was scrimmaging at practice today it was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time. I was crying at one point from laughing so hard and he wasn't even trying to be funny. After practice I ran to dinner then went to the volleyball game, which we won. I sat with Bridgett and played with Ryan, which was enjoyable. I love the Thomas family. The night has been pretty low key. I hung out and munched with Ashley and Casie, sometimes you just need to relax.

Operation Tony Turns 40: Phase 2

Operation Tony Turns 40 was definatetly a success. His reaction this morning when he opened his door was priceless and even better when the entire team came around the corner and suprised him. It took him 15 minutes just to unwrap the things on his desk that he needed, it was pretty entertaining. He was loving it though and left most of it up, I am pretty sure he felt special. He walked around all day long telling everyone, I saw people in his office today I have never seen. We are definately proud of our work and making his birthday memorable. My class of the day was blah, I took a test, it was easy I got out early. We had a "special" meal at lunch today. The tables were all fancy set up and we got random food we would never get before pretty exciting. Then we went back and hung in Coach and Coach's office for the afternoon. I did get him a real gift though, a framed drawing I did of Cal Ripken, who he loves. I am not going to lie the drawing is pretty awesome. On the subject of art I dropped my art class, the instuctor has only shown up twice all semester and was very unreliable. We did get more entertainment out of the office though when Coach T opened the door and a balloon flew out at him, it scared him and he tried to attack it. We decided we have ruined all feelings of security he has about his office and he will never open the door in peace again. Took a light rest time before practice and it was grand. Practice was okay and I played football with Ryan for awhile before it started. But here's something annoying, I think I pulled my left hamstring right after my quad finally healed. I feel like a baby though so I didn't tell Coach but man does it hurt. I wish it would just go away. Random information: Mom and Aunt Lynn I got your cards today thank you very much we all know I LOVE MAIL! "To Bed...to bed I said"

Operation Tony Turns 40: Phase 1

Ohh the adventures of my day. I had an honors meeting this morning at 8:30 it took forever and was pretty much useless. It bored me out of my mind. I then proceeded to have to sit in that same classroom for an hour and a half more. Classes were dragging today. Computers class was okay simply because I got out early. Psychology class sucked, I just can't stand it. Today we discussed ADHD and the teacher stared at me the whole time. She drives me crazy. Spent the afternoon running dumb errands for Coach Andrews, like getting his mail and delivering his letters. He was cracking me up today. Practice today was better I finally felt like I played well and it was relieving to get out of that little rut. I was just stuck it seemed trying my hardest and getting medicore results. Hopefully I can continue to improve. After practice I played with Ryan for a little while, he's a cute kid. Tonight was phase one of our top secret mission Operation Coach Thomas Turns 40. I found out a way to get his office unlocked without him knowing by messing with the knob when he has it unlocked. Well this is usually easy business today it took me forever to get the lock to budge. Fear not I got it. Later tonight Casie, Nikkie, Chelsea, Ashley and I went into the office and beautified it. We wrapped everything he owns in tin foil, even his computer and phone. We wrapped all his shelves and picture frames, and TP'd his chairs. We blew up balloons and threw them on the floor, and hung birthday streamers from the ceiling panels. We also left big notes all over the walls. Coach Wilson cancelled practice tomorrow morning so we can see his face when he gets in his office in the morning. It should be interesting. We were hungry when we got done so we downed some food. Phase two goes down tomorrow on the official birthday.

Being Helpful

I got up this morning to lift weights it was a grand time. In case you can't tell by my humongus physique I am quite talented at pumping the iron. For the past two days I have played the part of the middle man in the most confusing triangle ever. My friend wants to quit the basketball team, she thought about it after last year but still went out this year. I don't really understand her reasoning as to why but am trying. She is frustrated and unhappy and I get that, but something else still isn't right. She just hasn't been herself this year, well actually since last year. I think she is depressed, I have talked to her about this for awhile and she is finally deciding to take some action about it. She doesn't like things she used to and I told her she isn't being fair to herself being so unhappy all the time. Hopefully things get better, but as for now I am playing the role of mediator and supportive friend. Stoltzy helped a lot this morning he went to breakfast with us and had a nice long talk about basketball and our frustrations and really helped put some things in perspective. I also talked to Coach Wilson a little about it as well. This afternoon we went to print off some pictures and run errands. I think every single photo booth was down...fun times. Practice was okay I just don't feel like I am playing very well, I am trying my hardest but I don't know, it's like scrimmages rip me apart. I did have fun playing with Ryan at practice though, I love that little boy. Coach Thomas made fun of me pretty much the whole time and I still don't understand what he was joking about. Sometimes that man confuses himself I think. Tonight we ran to Coach Wilson's house we had to pick up some old newspapers for a top secret mission but ended up stayin and talking for over an hour. Plus we got free food. I am doing my laundry for the first time in 2 weeks and really need to go get it out of the dryer.

Basketball Blowout

It's been a long day, not in a sense of being bad, but literally long. We were gone on a basketball trip for almost 12 hours. We played three games and lost them all, this is just a glimpse into their awesomeness: score of the first game, 67-14. We improved each game but still didn't look to hot. This was expected though we were playing D1 schools. I played decent but definately know I could do better. It was just a wearing day thats all lots of playing an little rest. I enjoyed myself though I enjoy the bonding of long bus trips. We as sophomores were a little frustrated though it is just hard to play with freshman who don't know the plays and don't pass. Whatever these are set up to be learning experiences. Mom came down tonight to bring me a new cell phone. We went to Steak N' Shake it was yummy yummy. I love me a Halloween carmel apple milkshake, soo good. Then I went over to Ashley's to watch Brothers and Sisters, oh how awesome is that show. Right now I am watching the Jungle Book and am distracted, so that is all.
